Northpoint is a popular beach community located in Duck for active families! You will love the indoor community pool! It’s the ideal reprieve from the hot summer sun or the occasional rainy day. Northpoint’s community tennis and basketball courts are also yours to enjoy during your stay at Katmandu. Be sure to take advantage of Northpoint’s private community pier on the nearby sound for great crabbing, kayaking, and sunset views just a few minutes’ stroll from Katmandu.

The private pool will open on May 1st and remain open through the second week of October. Pool size is approximately 16’ x 33’. Optional pool heat is available for $500.00/week.
The Northpoint community indoor pool is normally open from April 1st to the end of October. Community pool dates are subject to change.

This is an awesome house! The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. All beds and sofas were comfy.

good house in great location
This is a good house in a great location. Amenities were great. Didn't expect all that was there. It just could use some love and updating. It is starting to show it's age in some areas. The cookware could use some updating. The mattresses were hard..could use updating or a topper. The sofas are ok. Overall we were happy with our stay.

close proximity to beach
The close proximity to the beach was terrific. The pool was an additional plus. The kitchen was quite small for 10 people in the house. The bed in the master on the third floor was not as comfortable as my home mattress.

House had everything we wanted. All beds were great. Kitchen had everything. Windows had a crazy amount of dead bugs between the screens. They should be cleaned. Besides that house was great.

Feels Like a Home Away From Home!
This was our 3rd stay at Katmandu. We just fell in love with this home, as well as the community of Northpoint - so much so we even tracked down this beach house when it changed rental company hands. It is a perfect beach house for a family - a lot of room so you don't feel cramped when indoors and so much to do, even if the outdoor weather does not cooperate. Decent ocean view and a short, pleasant walk to the beach itself. Well stocked with beach and pool items, and the basic kitchen essentials. Several bikes and kayaks for additional fun. Very nice entertainment system upstairs and a downstairs gameroom stocked with popular game consoles, games, and accessories - as well as Foosball and Bumper Pool, which got a lot of use during our stay. Yes, like all properties, the home may be due for some updates or renovations, but, to us, it just adds to its familiar charm. We hope to make Katmandu our annual family vacation destination for years to come! Our entire family LOVES it here! No where else we'd rather be. And that's saying something where twin pre-adolescent boys are involved.
