Assistant Rental Manager - Kitty Hawk and Duck offices

Sun Realty is seeking 2 full-time, year-round Assistant Rental Managers for our Kitty Hawk and Duck offices. The Assistant Rental Manager provides Sun Realty's homeowners and guests with the highest level of satisfaction, ensuring continuous delivery of excellence in hospitality and professionalism.   Successful candidates will possess knowledge of the Outer Banks vacation rental and hospitality industries, present a professional image, have strong negotiating, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and be well adept at building successful, positive relationships.  Schedules may vary and weekends/holidays are required.

Personal/Maintenance Coordinator - Corolla

The Personal Coordinator is responsible for providing the highest level of guest satisfaction to owners and guests to ensure the continuous delivery of hospitality, professionalism, and consistency. The Personal Coordinator checks guests in and out and makes vacation home reservations. The Personal Coordinator supports and assists the rental team by inspecting properties and performing general office duties as required.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Ensure excellence in hospitality, highest level of guest and owner satisfaction, is provided to all owners and guests on property, and/or via telephone.
  • Ensure all pending arrival information is accurate (i.e., check rates and prepare upcoming arrival packets with necessary materials and information).
  • Check in/check out arriving/departing owners and guests, makes reservations, and performs front desk related functions.
  • Follow through on owner and guest requests and/or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Compute billing charges collect payments.
  • Answer the telephone warmly with proper etiquette, and direct calls accordingly.
  • Communicate with all internal departments effectively and proactively including housekeeping, maintenance, and management.
  • Complete special projects: stocking, list items to be ordered, daily gift bag assembly and inventory.
  • Completes all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Recognize emergency situations and take appropriate action.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes.
  • May be required to assist with other Sun offices/departments as needed 

Requirements:

Physical/Mental Demands: Hearing, speaking, seeing, sitting, walking, standing, driving, bending, and climbing steps; lifting and carrying 25-30 lbs., reading, comprehension, analytical thinking, problem solving, legible writing skills and effective written and verbal communication in the English language.

Machines/Equipment/Licenses: Reliable transportation, with valid, active NC driver license, proper insurance, and inspections (as required in company guidelines); computers, copiers, all office equipment.

Work Environment: Office work with exposure to outside weather conditions, as warranted; climbing flights of steps inside and out, fast paced, at times mentally strenuous; shifting priorities due to changing needs and situations with little to no notice, maneuvering a vehicle in congested traffic, walking in soft sand.

Housekeeping Cleaners and Inspectors

Sun Realty’s Housekeeping Departments are seeking 2022 Seasonal and Year-round part-time team members for the following locations:  Avon, Salvo, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Duck and Corolla.  Sun offers flexible hours and competitive pay with weekly payroll!  All cleaning products and PPE are provided.  

For 42 years, Sun Realty has been a leader in vacation rental properties serving over 18,000 families every year!  Joining the Sun team, cleaners could earn as much as $350+ per turnover day, even more for Seasonal deep cleans.  Inspectors are paid $18.00 per hour.

Linens Associate/Packer

As a Linens Associate/Packer with the Linens Department, you must ensure the highest level of overall Linen services in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Linens Associate/Packer must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Performs all assigned duties expediently and professionally.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Pack and sort linens in appropriate bags for guest distribution. 
  • Professionally interacts with owners, guests, and rental office staff relative to performance of duties.
  • Responsible for operation of washers & dryers, and dispersing chemicals.
  • Responsible for folding, wrapping & storage of laundered items.
  • Pack out linens for upcoming check-ins, office stock and after-hours cabinets.
  • Assist drivers with unloading trucks & vans.
  • Assist with deliveries and pick-ups as (if) needed.
  • Ability to lift between 50-100 lbs.
  • Launder deep-clean items, making sure all items are counted, bagged, and labeled properly.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions including extreme heat and extreme cold.
  • May be required to assist with other Sun offices/departments as needed. 

Requirements:

Physical/Mental Demands: Hearing, speaking, seeing, walking, standing, sitting, driving, reaching bending climbing steps, and lifting 50-100 pounds; repetitive motion, folding, wrapping, stocking linens; loading and unloading trucks; effective written and verbal communication in the English language. The Linen Packer will sort and pack linens in appropriate bags for guest distribution.  Must be organized and detail-oriented. Schedules may vary and weekends/holidays are required. 

Machines/Equipment: The operation of laundry machines and driving box truck. Possess a valid, active driver’s license (minimum of 3 years), and clean driving record (MVR).

Work Environment: Laundry facility, use of chemicals, and some exposure to outside weather conditions, fast-paced, physically strenuous; climbing flights of steps inside and out; maneuvering a vehicle in congested traffic.

Maintenance Technician

Sun Realty is seeking a full-time, year-round Maintenance Technician to join its team. The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of duties to troubleshoot, make repairs, installations and maintain Sun Realty facilities and home owner properties. Maintenance/Landscape Assistant

Sun Services Maintenance/Landscape assistant must possess simple maintenance expertise and discipline to work well with guests, vendors, and co-workers. The Maintenance/Landscape assistant must ensure the highest level of overall maintenance service in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Performs all assigned work orders expediently and professionally.
  • Basic maintenance and landscaping skills.
  • Responsible for running parts and materials to the Maintenance Techs.
  • Perform general maintenance-cleaning and maintaining an organized stocked warehouse.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment and service vehicle.
  • Troubleshoot cable and internet issues.
  • In conjunction with Service Manager, maintains adequate part inventory level in service vehicle.
  • Professionally interacts with owners, guests, and rental office staff relative to problem resolution.
  • Interfaces with all of Sun’s vendors and contractors during work order completion.
  • Provides, maintains, and updates all daily records and information as required by Sun Services management.
  • May be required to assist with other Sun offices/departments as needed.
