6Welcome to Rx OBX in beautiful Southern Shores, the best prescription written for rest and relaxation. This vacation retreat offers great views of the ocean so be ready to head out the front door and only be a few hundred feet from the beach!
After a long day at the beach, live it up in the pool area for more fun! Take time out to unwind in the bubbling hot tub or cool off in the large private pool. There is an outside bathroom close to the pool. No need to haul your luggage up the steps as the elevator runs to all floors for your convenience including the ground floor which makes it a great help for our elderly and mobility-impaired guests. WiFi is a convenience as well, so you can stay in touch with family and friends while away. The fun doesn’t stop here: there is also a recreation room on the mid-level that features a pool table and a Foosball table.
Once the sun sets, make sure to gather the whole family in the theater room to enjoy your favorite movie and keep the entertainment going! This home offers families plenty of features and amenities including TVs in all bedrooms, 6 king en suites, bed linens provided on full-week rentals and much more. You will find this home will make everyone want to return to Rx OBX for years to come.
For your convenience, this home provides sheets and towels.
Private heated pool equipped with UV filter is available from the second week of April to the third week of October. Pool size is approximately 14’ x 28’. Optional pool heat is available for $375/week.
2 parking passes are available with a $15 deposit per pass for Southern Shores amenities in 2023. Amenities include beach parking, tennis, and community parks.

Ground Level: Carport parking, entry to the house, 2 enclosed outside showers, access to the pool deck and hot tub, from around the side of the house access to the volleyball court, elevator access, and stair access to the mid-level.
Mid-Level: 4 king en suites, and one bedroom with two sets of bunks, one king room has a jetted tub in bath and 1 king has a wide doorway and easy shower access, recreation room with pool table, surround sound and kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator; den with a futon and football table; half bath and laundry in the hall.
Top Level: 2 king en suites (one with a jetted tub), large open great room with fireplace (off season), kitchen with 2 dishwashers and breakfast bar and dining area for 17; theater room with tiered seating and a half bath in hall.
