Just arrived back home after an extremely memorable trip at Pineapple Post in OBX! We have been coming to OBX for years but never found the perfect place to suit our family’s needs. This house is situated right on the ocean, impeccably maintained, and includes anything/everything guests could need. We truly enjoyed watching the sunrise in the morning from the deck, afternoons walking to and from the beach for a swim, and evenings entertaining in the expansive kitchen. The primary suite was removed from the rest of the house offering privacy with a shower that deserving of its own 5 star review. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Fantastic house. Great amenities. The kitchen was amazing. How can you complain about a Viking stove)oven and a Sub-Zero refrigerator! The bedding and bath were nice. No complaints about quality.

I have already booked my 5th year and have already recommended this house to some friends and they stayed there in April 2022.

This home is the perfect break for myself (57), my adult daughter, our pups, and my 90-year-old mother. We absolutely love this home! The new deck boards and painted railings are beautiful and the new deck chairs are awesome! Two things I would love for this home to have, one is a detachable shower head in the guest bathrooms, and a pully to get bags up the front steps or a ramp. The primary reason we rent this home is that it is one level. There are so many things we love about the home, and one is the fact that it is not cluttered with nick-knacks. It's so clean and pristine. The south bedroom off the kitchen has THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed I have ever slept in! All of the furniture and design of this home is elegant and so very comfortable. We have made so many special memories in this special place on the ocean. Oh, yeah, the dog area is awesome! Thank you for removing the bush that was in there.

This is our third time at Pineapple Post. The bed in the room off the kitchen is the BEST mattress I’ve ever slept on! It’s amazing! The couches are not comfortable. The seat cushions slide off. They’re tough to get out of for elderly. Swivel chairs are wonderful to turn and see the water. The kitchen is well equipped and a joy to use. Thank you for the water filter pitcher! It always takes a few tries to figure out the dishwasher and one cycle takes a full afternoon. Other than that, it’s a fantastic space. We LOVE Pineapple Post! Adding 3 gates to the dune deck would allow the dog to stay off leash and join us on the deck.I bring my own gates. Also, a poop scooper that grips it and releases into a bag would save the back. But NOTHING beats the dog relief area! Thank you! My happy place is the dune deck! I sit there for hours! It brings me such peace.

The home was beautiful. Location was good for day trips. Shelling was fun. Too many sticky burrs and cactus that I am still picking out. Please tell clients to bring dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, cleaning supplies like windex and scrubbing sponge. Keeping it cleaner would have been more efficient and easier with these. We have never rented in the Outer Banks. Our experience has been South Carolina and Oregon rentals. Those facilities all provided welcome packages and beginning cleaning supplies. So I was surprised not to see them. The house was beautiful and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable and it was relaxing. Just missing a few things I wish we had. Thank you

Great location and house very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds comfortable, sofas need upholstery cleaned. We have stayed in this home each year for the past 3 years and it is showing wear and tear.

This is my 3rd year staying at this house because it is so pet friendly and we absolutely love it. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The bedding and living space was perfect! I have actually booked it again for next year, however, I found that the upkeep is starting to go downhill. I had to call about the refrigerator leaking , the TV not working properly in the bedroom off the living room and the grass was in dedsperate need of cutting. As a pet friendly home, the grass should always be kept short so the fogs do not hurt their paws.

Great house. Well equipped, awesome kitchen. Master bed was a bit soft. Pathway from front to back needs clearing also would be nice to have an outside eating area.

Directions for the dishwasher would be helpful. Other than that, no complaints! No complaints from anyone on the beds. Everyone slept very well! A community 1/2 bath would be nice. We brought a toddler an had to use others bathrooms during his nap time.

Having stayed in a variety of rental homes in OBX over the last ten years, this is by far our favorite. Perhaps it’s because life has slowed down and this home is perfect for adults. Three bedrooms each with private full baths. The decor is tasteful, cozy, and not cluttered. It was spotless. Beds were like heaven.The high end kitchen could bring the chef out of anyone. This one level home was perfect for our elderly mother. The dune deck was my favorite spot. The owners put a lot of consideration into comfort and function. The front and back had fenced in decks. They had the most convenient dedicated potty place for the pups that was designed so you could open the front door and your dog could use his special area safely and you don’t even have to go outside. This is the perfect home for a girlfriend getaway. Keyless entry, energy efficient, smart TVs and good wifi. We were there in December and so much wanted to use the fireplace with Enviro logs but it was off limits for guests. This was truly the only thing I could think of that was disappointing. This home is absolutely gorgeous with so many windows bringing in sweeping views of the ocean. Here are a few details to help with your packing, they have a 12 cup Mr Coffee with a filter. The beds have a very thin cotton blanket but it actually kept us warm. But you may want to bring your fluffy comforter. There is no drinking water device on the fridge so bottled will be needed because the town tap water is terrible. Perhaps because of COVID, there were no spices. But there are a large assortment of pots (large lobster pot), pans, dishes, drinks ware, utensils, electric mixer, cutting boards and pitches. You will be well equipped to have a wonderful vacation.

We LOVED our stay at the Pineapple Post. This is a beautifully furnished home that was very comfortable. We especially appreciated the love shown to dogs- the gated beach access & especially the gate to the front door. This home faces Route 12 & it would be disastrous if one of our dogs escaped. We bring our own gates to the beach & this was the first time we didn't have to use them. It made us much more relaxed to know the safeguards were in place. & we appreciated the fenced in dog yard- allowing a place for business to get done! The bed was comfortable, loved the open shower & access to the beach couldn't be easier. The kitchen was great & relatively well equipped. It was a great week & we loved the Pineapple Post.
