the views are indescribable
The convenience to the beach is unbeatable! The sunsets and sunrises from the upper deck were indescribable! I’ve never stayed in a house with a more equipped kitchen! Coffee makers, ice cream makers, containers for leftovers! The only pitfall was that all of the pans were non stick and damaged, I’d recommend a set of stainless steel pans! The beds and sofas were quite comfortable.

perfect location
The homes location is perfect! House needs some updates here and there. Living room furniture and washer and dryer were showing some age. Everything worse was great.

by far the nicest
Have stayed with Sun realty several times in 3 different houses. This was by far the nicest and had an amazing view with direct beach access. Kitchen had everything we needed and the king bed on top level was great!

BEST house in OBX
This was by far the BEST house we have rented in the OBX, and we have rented houses approximately 20 times. (Mostly in the south nags head area) The location was SUPERB!!!! Unmatched ocean views from many rooms- I literally woke up in the master bedroom and could watch the sunrise from my pillow, lol! Furniture was most unique, solid quality. Bedding was very comfy and appealing. Decor was outstanding- from the unique teak furniture, the local nature items such as driftwood and shells, the antique beach items, the PICASSO drawings (so cool!). TVs in every room (not that we watched them because of great weather but an essential feature under the right circumstances) Kitcen was very well stocked, best stocked of any house we have stayed in. Extra thanks for providing a Keurig. Extra roomy outside shower also a wonderful feature. Last of all, we couldn’t be more appreciative of the little amenities provided, such as the telescopes (GREAT on a clear night), the flashlights, games, deck furniture, beach umbrella, etc. MANY thanks and kudos to the owners of a true gem of a beach house which makes for an unforgettable beach memory.

The kitchen
The kitchen was ok, although the cooking utensils were lacking quality and were flimsy. Beds were great, very comfortable, sofas were terrible , too deep to get off easily and too soft. This was a very expensive rental for us. I expect a better kept property.

LOVED the location
LOVED the location right by the beach but upgrades are needed to decking and furniture to make it comfortable enough to want to return to this house. The bedrooms were nice but the living area seems overcrowded because of furniture that’s too bulky and heavy to move around. The appliances other than the refrigerator were top notch but the stools at the breakfast bar are too high for it and too heavy to move around.

Nice beach house
Very nice house. Love that it was right on the beach. Could leave the sliding door open at night and listen to the ocean. Watched dolphins in the morning from the deck. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Only issue is the outside shower. You have to walk back over sand to either get into the lower door or to the stairs up to the deck. Will definitely look to rent this unit again

location was phenomenal
Loved the decorations throughout the house, all the books, and the location was phenomenal. The kitchen could have used another pot that was not huge but was big enough for pasta.

We come to OBX at least once a year, this house is wonderful! The views are beautiful. We were concerned because of the COVID-19, the beach wasn't crowded at anytime, we went out in the mornings and the evenings. Watched sunrises and sunsets as well as dolphins. We had everything at the house that we needed and we were very comfortable. The house is well stocked, very clean and lots of room. One small issue, the wooden chairs on the deck are in needed of a little love, they are a little shaky, some of the nails need to be replaced, so they would be safer. But the location is wonderful. It was perfect for our family--am hoping to get it again next year. We truly enjoyed our visit mainly because of this house. We have made GREAT memories, thank you.

Amazing Family Home!
This was a wonderful home for our family (6 adults, 4 children)! The children loved the room with the bunk bed and queen bed! The cookware was in great condition for cooking, the beds were comfortable, and the dining table fit our whole family for meals! We also loved being right on the ocean! There were so many dolphins right in front of the cottage! We will definitely be staying here next year!!!

Great Location
Love staying here because its on the beach, its great for dolphin watching and the sunrise is amazing. My only complaint is the very uncomfortable beds. Next year I'm bringing foam mattress toppers. We love this house but rating 4 because of the hard beds.

What a beautiful and serene setting!! We fully enjoyed every moment in this house and the views were nothing short of spectacular!! Providing the linens is such a welcome benefit! Unfortunately we didn't get to do much exploring of the area because we couldn't leave this beautiful house!!! :)

2 Star Stay
Home had stains all over rugs and furniture. The window in the master bedroom was rusted open. Kitchen cabinets had a very odd odor. The view was beautiful but would not stay at this home again.

Barefoot 2 OCS-17
We stayed two weeks and we have two foster children our mother and my husband and I. We had a great time and out of two weeks we only had one rain day. Our children came down to visit on weekends and had no complaints with Barefoot and would definiatly stay again.
