You will find a wonderful blend of traditional and contemporary with features such as updated electronics with flatscreen TVs throughout including the main level parlor, which features a one of kind parquet ceiling pattern. As seen in the pictures the ceiling in this warm, cozy room is not an optical illusion. Each tile has been individually attached to create the unique appearance seen emphasizing the style, character and charm put forth when this home was originally built. You won’t find a better example of new school meets old school in this room perfect for hosting your family movie night.
This three-level oceanfront home is friendly to families of all shapes and sizes with versatile sleeping quarters and multiple gathering rooms and even decks for guests with interests of all types. On the main living level, you will find 2 king en suites as well as another queen en suite all outfitted with large flat screen TVs, DVD players and cable allowing for privacy when the family activities have wound down for the night. On the south side of this level, you will also find two galley-style kid’s rooms featuring three sets of bunks and another pyramid bunk providing lots of space in a fun setting perfect for cousins to plan their beach hijinks for the next day. In the middle of these comfy bedrooms lies the first of 2 inviting common areas and the aforementioned parlor and connecting kitchen and dining areas. With warm colors and comfortable furnishings, there is not a more inviting place to congregate and talk about the day's adventures and then nestle in and watch the family’s favorite movie.
Upstairs you will find an equally accommodating great room with a completely different feel. With high vaulted ceilings, original wooden beams, bright colors and panoramic ocean views from nearly everywhere, the upstairs den provides another area great for hosting large groups as well. A large flatscreen TV is available for those who may want to watch their sports team, but for most the views of the crashing waves from the comfy wraparound couches are all the scenery you need. Outside is an oceanfront deck with views of the pool and hot tub area below, a dunetop gazebo, and of course the Atlantic Ocean itself. For the true king of the castle, Hallelujah’s primary king en suite is situated right off of this great room offering its own ocean views and custom-tiled stand-up shower.
Finally, downstairs Hallelujah offers a mother-in-law suite with a double bed, as well as a game room outfitted with a ping pong table and seating to chill out and take a breather from the sun.

Fantastic blend of nostalgia and modern
After half a century vacationing on Hatteras Island, we decide to try Nags Head this year. What a success! We found great success with Sun Realty and even greater success with renting Hallelujah! This house is a wonderful blend of mid 1940’s style and charm with perfect updates in kitchen and bathrooms. Those updates include easy access to a gazebo overlooking the ocean (perfect for those with any physical challenges).; we enjoyed coffee there in the mornings and drinks there in the evenings. We had the pleasure to meet the owner and his commitment to excellent was front and center. This rental has a charming mix of nostalgic times with modern comforts. We look forward to renting it again in the future.

great house
This was a great house, beautiful pool and deck with gazebo, comfortable and very welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed. One of the small appliances was not working properly but Sun Realty replaced it promptly. Very comfortable beds with quality mattresses. Excellent staff that were responsive to any and all needs. Great company!

loved the history and feel
We loved the history and feel of this Old Nags Head home. However, there is not a "common area" bathroom. You must go into a bedroom to use a bathroom. We were a group of 8 adults and 6 children and the lack of a common area bathroom didn't work for us. That said, the owner was very responsive to all of our needs. The beds were comfortable. Some of the furniture is dated and could be updated. The kitchen is unorgnized, but we generally found what we were looking for.

Fantastic location, really well equipped
With 8 adults and one 7-year old, this house really made us say “Hallelujah!” Location is ideal, the beach-front gazebo is the perfect place to start your morning, and the hammock on the front porch is made for sneaking off and reading a book. The kitchen has, literally, every pan, appliance, or dish you need, and dinner at the big table worked out so well! The bedrooms were set up beautifully for us - we took the lovely master but our grown kids and their partners had plenty of privacy and their own baths in the king rooms on the main floor. Clean, well laid out, hot tub was a big hit and the outdoor table was a great size as well. Thank you for a lovely get away. Furniture was great, parking was fine for 4 cars, and beach access was excellent.
I would suggest moving the shelf above the dining table - we had more than a few nasty hits to the head. Just switch it with the art directly across the room. Easy. We got the linens package - it was perfect. Don’t hesitate or stress out to drag your own towels and sheets.
The following are really small suggestions and not complaints! To make it 5+ I’d like to see the queen bed on the main floor replaced with a king - and so would my 6’3” son and his lovely 5’10” girlfriend! 4 kings would be an easy and welcome upgrade. Also a separate fan and light in the bathroom would be great so the fan didn’t always have to be on. The new third floor porch is awesome - an entrance from the living room would be a plus - but access to the bedroom is also fine. That upstairs living area was a great option late at night when the little one was asleep. We didn’t use the mother-in-law room in the first floor. It was very pretty but seemed a bit musty. Maybe a dehumidifier would be a nice add and then we could invite one more couple. Like I said, these are little suggestions. The house may not be the newest, shiniest model but it is a true gem, very comfortable, very welcoming, and we had a great time! Hope to be back in 2022.

fantastic house
Fantastic house. The kitchen was well equipped and we didn't need anything. The 3rd floor master could stand to be replaced as it's very springy. Also the whole property was furnished with feather furniture and pillows. We have a few in our family who are allergic, including myself, to feathers so that was a challenge. I'd recommend changing to hypoallergenic bedding and furniture.

Great House
We had a great 2-week vacation in this beautiful house right on the ocean. We have 4 children ages 4 and 10 (2 sets of twins!) and we vacation in OBX every summer with our friends and their 12-year old twins. We would not have chosen such a large house but we initially expected 1-2 other families to rent a week with us. Ultimately, we had 1 friend stay with us for almost a week (11 of us total) and had another family (2 adults, 2 children) stay for 1 night - 15 of us filled 12 beds across 6 bedrooms and we were glad to have only had to maintain that capacity for one night! The layout worked really well for us, but I would simply caution that with a larger group over multiple nights, this should be considered. On the main floor there is essentially a kitchen and living room in the center; off the living room to the left is a king master and to the right are separate entrances to a queen master and a king master - you have to go through one of those rooms to get to the either of the rooms with the bunks beds behind them (the "kids rooms"). You can also move freely between the kids rooms or close them off from one another if necessary. So its a huge loop that works pretty well if you have parents in one of the masters with their kids in the room behind them, each family sharing a bathroom. If you have a guest without kids and you don't want to create a privacy or bathroom sharing issue, then you could still reserve the other mid-level master or the top level master for them. There is a master on the lower level but its really disconnected from the house since you have to walk outside, go downstairs and access it through a separate entrance - it really doesn't have the same charm and comfort as the rest of the house. We didn't need to use that room at all but if we chipped in our fair share for the house and were left with that room we would be a little disgruntled (and also very far away from our children upstairs!). For us, close proximity to the beach, a private pool and a well-stocked kitchen are vacation must-haves and this house had all of those things - we really enjoyed it. Since most of the bedrooms, kitchen and access to the back deck are on the main level, most of our indoor lounging was also on the main level but we would try to get all the adults upstairs once the kids went to sleep for movies and card playing since the top level of the house was really the most beautiful level...and definitely had the best bathroom. We actually discussed that if we ever rented again, we may require the couple in that room to pay more than everyone else! You essentially get the whole top floor to yourself with access right out to your own private deck - the best views of the ocean from there. The weather cooperated for most of our trip and we loved having the pool for days the ocean was too rough or cold or when we wanted to keep the little ones entertained without chasing them around the beach. Loved that the hot tub was not covered - so many of rentals put the tub right under the deck and its off-putting. We had a couple really gorgeous but breezy days that made for perfect use of the hot tub. All of the decks and stairs must have been newly constructed and were just beautiful - we spent mornings drinking coffee in the gazebo and being so close to the beach made it easy to bounce back to the house for lunch instead of a heavy morning prep and lugging coolers back and forth! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots, utensils and appliances - this was so helpful, especially with our large group. The WIFI was not secure (no password required) and we had lots of bandwidth issues which prevented us from streaming movies and games etc. (we brought our own firestick and ROKU) in multiple rooms and levels which is a slightly bigger deal with so many kids but that wasn't a vacation deal breaker for us. We got an excellent discount through Sun Realty to rent bikes through VayK Gear and we used them often to ride down the street to little shops and restaurants. This house was charming and made for a very nice OBX vacation. If we travel with a larger group in the future, we would definitely consider renting this beautiful home again.

Fun House
We had a great week at this fun retro property. Location was amazing and the dune deck was our favorite place to hang out. Loved that the realty company works with a rental company to rent chairs, boogie boards, bikes, etc at a very reasonable price. The little apartment was so cute and there was plenty of room for our 8 teenagers in the bunk room. Great piece of old school OBX home with modern updates.

Hallelujah
What a beautiful week and house at the beach. New upgraded kitchen with everything you could need. Nicely maintained house for its age. Loved the gazebo on the dunes, perfect for coffee at sunrise or cocktails at sunset. Top level so relaxing. Very family friendly, the bunk rooms connect and share bathroom with queen and king bedrooms. Our only issue was the mother in law suite on lower level was quite musty and damp, due to wall mount air conditioning unit. It was quite small. We never did find the washer and dryer or ping pong table. We tried key but it was like door was bolted from inside. Overall great trip and we hope the house made it through hurricane Flo ok
