Unit was clean and enjoyable~

Great location!
Our family loved our stay in Duck at the Colony by the Sea. This condo was perfectly located on the beach and the views from the balcony were spectacular. It was also an easy walk or short bike ride to restaurants and the boardwalk in Duck. The unit itself was very large and we appreciated having two bathrooms.
The pool and outdoor shower were super convenient after coming off the beach. We enjoyed having access to the community grills, picnic tables, and small playground. We also appreciated access to a large laundry room. Laundry was coin operated so it would be helpful to bring quarters from home.
While the condo was centrally located, it does require going up several flights of stairs so keep that in mind before heading out to the beach. It would be helpful if the unit had a better bathtub stopper.
We look forward to coming back to Duck and would definitely stay at the Colony by the Sea again!

private and relaxed atmosphere
This was a very nice, well equipped place to stay. The view was amazing, loved being so close to the beach. The kitchen is updated and well equipped. All bedding seemed newer and comfortable. Even though the was a hiccup with the central ac (because of a storm/power outage), the owners made sure we were equipped with ac units to help make our stay comfortable until the repair was finished. Love the town of Duck…it’s more of a private and relaxed atmosphere but still enough around to entertain us. Plus it was a little more than semi-oceanfront view which we were pleasantly surprised. Just wish there weren’t so many stairs! Elevator would be a bonus.

The site's caretaker always does an outstanding job. The kitchen had what we needed. The bedding was a little soft, but fine.

This was a great condo. The kitchen was well equipped. It would be great if it had a garbage disposal in the sink. Comfy beds too!

Overall, great
Overall, great house. Especially appreciated how well the grounds, walkway was cared for. Sofa was not extremely comfortable. Low back & somewhat flat cushions. Well equipped kitchen, but very tight space. An ice maker in the freezer would be a huge upgrade.

Great place
This condo is super comfortable and updated. Great view. Comfy porch. So nice to be so close to pool, beach and town. Duck is such a cool town and this condo is the perfect vacation place.

Beautiful family vacation spot
We have stayed in the unit every summer for the past 8 years. We consider it our only summer vacation spot. It is so nice and well maintained. It has all the comforts of home, including comfortable beds. This condo has a beautiful view and is so close to the pool and beach. We ride our bikes all over Duck and barely need a car once we arrive. The LV Duck is our #1!!!

"Unit is very clean and well maintained. Master bedroom very large. Closeness to beach and pool are great. Very nice to sit on the balcony and see the ocean! Sea Colony Dr is literally in the middle of Duck, so you're close to all the activities.
Be aware, however, that while its on the 2nd floor, that means there are 4 sets of stairs to walk up. This would not be a good place to stay for older or disabled folks. (a lot of huffing and puffing bringing up the luggage!) "
