Loved the house and location. Would definitely stay here again! Beds were fine. Would have been nice to have 1-2 bigger couches. Kitchen was good but kitchen drawers weren’t clean.

easy walk to to the beach
This was a good house, and would stay again. It is an easy walk to to the beach and in a great, and quite, neighborhood. It is also nice that there is a ramp heading to the beach instead of stairs going up, and the stairs going down to the beach are minimal. They layout of the house was great, and pool was ideally situated to catch shade in the afternoon to help avoid the heat. The 3rd level of the house, the main living room, was clearly the best as it had much open space and was great for the 4 children, all under 4. I also appreciate the fact that there is a good deal plush carpet in the house which was good for children, and for adults, to not have hard floors everywhere. There were some downsides, or areas, that could be improved. Such as the bathrooms, my biggest con. They all were very small and outdated. All of the toilet seats were not comfortable for any of the adults staying in this house. This would also include the outside shower, which was subpar, and would have liked it to work better with no full bathroom on the bottom level. The house could also use some TLC, mainly, in terms of paint, such as the outsides deck that is chipping almost everywhere. The kitchen was amazing. Living room was very good and most bedrooms as well. The pillows could do with some refresh as most seemed "dead." The only bedroom where beds weren't the best was the bunk bed and twin room. Both bottom bed of bunk and twin bed felt like you were falling off of them or sinking into the wall. Other than that all bedrooms were very comfortably arrranged.Overall 4 out of 5.

Great location
Great location, walking distance to the town of Duck and the ocean. Pool and hot tub a bonus! However, pictures posted are deceiving. Inside of property in desperate need of thorough cleaning and updating. Horribly stained furniture, cracked tiles, cob webs everywhere, cracks and apparent leaks in ceiling. For this price, I'd look elsewhere.

We always enjoy Lu's
This is the 6th year for Lus place and the owners always are so willing to work with our schedule. The Wifi was a nice touch for us. We had our vow renewal at this house and it worked out wonderfully.

"We enjoyed the cottage, particularly the distance to the beach, and to the Duck attractions. The pool and hot tub were great.
On the downside, the TV's were older and small, and the beds are not the most comfortable...the whole cottage could use some modernizing, and wi-fi internet would have made it possible for me to stay an extra week (and work from the beach house). All in all,though, a pleasant cottage and a very enjoyable stay."
