Monteray Shores has a community recreation room, community pool, tennis courts, children's playground, boat launch and a lovely dock - perfect for taking photos at sunset. Nearby beach accesses will lead you to uncrowded Corolla beaches with lifeguards. This home has excellent access to the sound via Monteray Shores amenities and across the street from your drive way - perfect for windsurfers. If you can’t travel with your equipment, don’t worry! The community of Monteray Shores rents windsurfing equipment.

layout, location and comfort
We loved the "jungle-like" land-scraping. We liked the separation of the bedrooms (with the master upstairs and the kid's rooms downstairs). The only thing we had to go out and buy for our use was a working can opener. Other than that...the kitchen was well equipped. All beds were comfortable. I would replace the table set in the crow's nest. I would recommend this home if the hot tub and jacuzzi tub were upgraded. However, like I said before...I would not stay here again due to the many steps without a lift. But, that is my own preference. All in all, we liked the layout, location and comfort. I just put a lot of weight on the luxury items (hot tub, jacuzzi, etc..) that I feel I want in a vacation home.

Great home, perfect breakfast nook and location- we rented bikes and biked around town- the location was absolutely perfect. Our family of four plus a small dog had plenty* of space! We could have fit a second family in easily! Only recommendations would be to upgrade the fridge. There is no ice maker. Also, the washer and dryer are old but they seemed to work okay for the few loads we had. If you want an affordable, quiet, great location with comfortable access to both the sound and ocean, as well as pool access and a private hot tub this is a perfect choice:) p.s. Adults don't miss the Wednesday trek to Whalehead for the small wine festival and be sure to check out the free BBQ Saturday's 11-4 at Mike and Diane's!! Dinner there is pricey but amazing* and well worth every cent. We really enjoyed this stay!!! Thanks:)

Beautiful Home
This house has it all! Updated furniture and a gorgeous great room with tons of natural light and an adjacent screened-in porch. Extensive decking and a large hot tub provided a convenient venue for enjoying the
outdoors, without having to leave the premises.
We enjoyed a 2 minute walk to the sound to witness and photograph the beautiful sunsets. It was also a very short walk to all the great amenities that Monterey Shores has to offer-pool, tennis court, and the beach. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and it made for the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Highly recommend!
