Herring beach access has a lifeguard station during the season. This colorful retreat offers ocean views from the front decks, a private pool, hot tub, and tiki bar.
Many outside recreational activities are provided, including Horseshoes, and Basketball. Monterey and TimBuck II shopping plazas are nearby with grocery, restaurants, shops, movie theatre, mini-golf, and go-carts.

close to the beach
Perfect size and close to beach. Also had very nice pool furniture. Beds were comfortable and living room also. The kitchen could have used better frying pans

our third stay here
This was the third year we rented this home..new table and chairs in the screen porch was so nice...we ate all our meals on the porch ..so relaxing and enjoyable sun reality has made everything so easy with the key less entry. We were very pleased with the sheets and towels they provided with our rental. All bedding was clean and comfortable. We will continue to use sun reality for our vacation rental

We love this house! It’s perfect for a small family. The pool, hot tub, porch swing and hammock are perfect for relaxing. Short walk to the beach. Very comfortable!

Overall it was a great place. Just needs some attention inside, like a new set of pots and pans. New mattresses needed badly. Keyless entry was really great, saved tons of time.

Poseidon’s Retreat is Relaxing
This is a well run rental in the heart of Whalehead beach community very close to beach. Wraparound decks on both levels were amazing for fireworks viewing. Salt water Pool was very relaxing. Top floor giant room had nice kitchen and perfect spot for large group to gather. Overall an excellent rental!

Cute and Clean!
We were a party of 7, plus a four legged-friend. The house was simply perfect! First of all, we were so impressed with how clean the house appeared. Secondly, we were so pleased with how the house looked exactly like the pictures- no hidden surprises. The paintings on the walls were so soothing and added a nice element to the rooms. Our favorite part of the house besides the pool, the proximity of the house to the beach and the hot tub on the rainy afternoon...was the large griddle! We used that griddle every morning to prepare so many yummy breakfasts!
Not only was it a nice "perk" to have towels and and sheets provided with the rental, but to have fresh linens delivered mid-week was a a nice surprise. And...the pool cleaning service came mid-week too, the service freshened up the pool (vacuum and check chemicals).
The game room was a huge hit with the 4 older teenagers that were in our party and the jigsaw puzzle that was at the house entertained the adults and yes, we completed it!!
Posidean's Retreat was the perfect house for us! I hope everyone else will enjoy it just as much as we did!
