Jennifer has called the Outer Banks home since 1990, after vacationing here for over 20 years. She started her career with our Sun Realty Duck Office shortly after moving to the area, and spent the next 14 years managing the Corolla and Kill Devil Hills offices.

With more than three and a half decades of experience in the Outer Banks vacation rental industry, Jennifer returned to Sun Realty in 2022 as the Business Development and Rental Operations Director. She enjoys partnering with homeowners and using her expertise to help them achieve strong rental performance and long-term success.

Sondra Hawkins brings more than 36 years of experience in business development, operations, residential real estate, vacation rentals, and interior design to her role as Business Development Manager at Sun Realty.

Since joining Sun Realty in 2021, Sondra has worked closely with property owners to help maximize the potential of their Outer Banks vacation rental homes. Today, she leads business development efforts for new property owners joining Sun Realty, serving as a trusted resource from the initial property evaluation and rental projection through contract, onboarding, and preparation for the rental market.

Sondra takes a consultative approach to business development, helping owners understand their property’s rental potential, competitive position, and opportunities for long-term growth. Her background in interior design provides an added advantage, allowing her to identify strategic property improvements, amenities, renovations, and design updates that can enhance guest appeal, marketability, and rental performance.

By combining market knowledge, strong owner relationships, and a hands-on understanding of vacation rental properties, Sondra helps owners make informed decisions and creates a smooth transition into Sun Realty’s property management program.
