The Currituck Beach Lighthouse opens this Saturday, April 9. The lighthouse will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every year 100,000 visitors climb the 214 steps of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse for 360 degree views of the Atlantic Ocean, Corolla and the Currituck Sound.
The second annual Flying Pirate Half Marathon is set for Sunday, April 10 at 7:20 a.m. More than 2,000 runners and walkers will start the trek on the Woods Road in Kitty Hawk and finish behind the Outer Banks Family YMCA in Nags Head.
3/25/11-The Blue Moon Beach Grill recently reopened its doors after major renovations. The premise for this restaurant is creating a once-in-a-blue-moon experience.
The cuisine is a mix of local seafood, southern cuisine, all with a Caribbean twist. Locals’ favorite dishes include their killer wings, fish tacos, shrimp and grits and much more!
