Charlotte NC's Fox News station recently ran a story titled NC Tourism May See a Boost Because of Crisis in the Gulf. One of my favorite restaurants growing up on the Outer Banks was the Fisherman’s Wharf in Wanchese. It was closed for a few years but has been reopened by the Daniels family and it’s just as good as I remember! It’s still a treat to head down the winding road, to the end of Wanchese, where the restaurant overlooks the Roanoke Sound and sits over the “fish house” where boats deliver their fresh catch daily.
