The Eastern Surfing Association's annual Easterns Championship is off to a rocking start this week in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The contest originally slated for Hatteras Island, had to be moved north to Jennette's Pier in Nags Head after Hurricane Irene devastated the region in August.

The Currituck Fall Food and Wine Festival will be held Saturday, September 24, from noon to 6 p.m. at Sanctuary Vineyards in Jarvisburg, NC.
Events include:
- Live music all afternoon
- The Great Currituck Grape Stomp
- Pork and Cork BBQ Competition
- Sample local wines and beers
- Local food vendors

The Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education will partner with Ducks Unlimited and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for a National Hunting and Fishing Day event in North Carolina on Saturday, September 24. The day of fishing and outdoor fun begins at 8 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m.
Sun Realty has raised $822 dollars so far for the Outer Banks Hospital's Get Pinked campaign. We still need your help to meet our $1,000 goal to help raise money for local breast cancer prevention and treatment programs. In 2010, the Outer Banks Hospital raised over $35,000 dollars with their Get Pinked campaign. This money helped save countless mothers, daughters, sisters and wives here on the Outer Banks.
The 6th Annual Ocean Boulevard Endless Summer Party is this Sunday, September 18. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and SoulOne starts performing on the outdoor oceanside patio at 3:30. At 6:30 p.m. the Wilder Brothers will perform inside, followed by the Hound Dog Family Band at 9:30 p.m.
The price of admission is only $10 and that includes all three musical performances and an endless supply of Ocean Boulevards own hor d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served upstairs and in the booth area and all diners are encouraged to enjoy the festivities.
