From 9 a.m. to noon, this Saturday, join the Outer Banks chapter of the Surfrider Foundation for the North Carolina Big Sweep. The North Carolina Big Sweep is a one day event aimed at cleaning up North Carolina waterways. What began in 1987 as the Beach Sweep, has grown into a statewide event. The North Carolina Big Sweep is the nation's first statewide waterway clean-up effort. All participants are invited to attend TRASHFEST at the Outer Banks Brew Station from 12-4 featuring live music, great food and drink and good times.
