Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. Visit the Outer Banks and take part in these fun fall festivities! From the thrilling to the delectable the Outer Banks has an event for everyone this fall.

A walking haunted trail open every Friday and Saturday throughout October. The first tour leaves at dark and the last ticket is sold at 11pm. Discover what happens when the night falls on the unforgiving shores of the Outer Banks. Watch the mysteries of Roanoke Island come to life.

Dock & Dine
When: October 18, 2013 from 6:30pm-10:30pm
Where: Outer Banks Event Site

Dock and Dine is a tickets Outer Banks Seafood Festival event. Celebrate the seafood heritage of the Outer Banks at this pre-festival party.

Outer Banks Seafood Festival
When: October 19, 2013
Where: Outer Banks Event Site

The Outer Banks Seafood Festival is a celebration of local fisherman and seafood heritage. Enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations, boat exhibits, and more! Festival admission is $3. Food and beverages are additional.


Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival

When: October 22-27
Where: Manteo, NC

This six-day event offers over 85 programs ranging from wildlife photography to birding.

Fall Restaurant Week
When: October 25- November 2
Where: Outer Banks

Outer Banks Restaurant week offers food lovers a week of 3-course menus that are pre-fixed in the price points of $20 or $35.

Blackbeard's Pirate Jamboree Welcome Event
When: October 25 from 4:00-8:00 pm
Where: 588848 Marina Way, Hatteras

Party with the pirates at the Affairs at Austin Creek. Don't miss out on all the lively family-friendly fun! There will be plenty of food, grog, and an invasion.

Harvest Hayday 2013
When: October 26 from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm
Where: 1411 National Park Drive, ManteoOuter Banks Marathon

Celebrate fall at the Elizabethan Gardens. Take a hayride through the gardens, drink hot cider, and warm up by the bonfire or stuff a scarecrow and get a face painting. This fall event is the one your family has been looking for!

Outer Banks Marathon and Half Marathon
When: November 8-10
Where: Kitty Hawk and Nags Head

The Gateway Outer Banks Marathon starts in Kitty Hawk, passes Jockey's Ridge State Park and concludes at the waterfront on Roanoke Island. A half marathon and shorter races are also available.
