JUNE

Sat. June 1

•10 AM - 11:30 AM Family Fishing
Your family will enjoy learning the basics of fishing including how to cast, identify and safely release fish right from our docks at Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

•2 PM -3:25 PM Sound Sampler
Visit the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and find out what lurks below the surface of the sound using different nets and traps. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

Mon. June 3

•10 AM- 10:30 AM  Exhibit Explorations
Tour the Wildlife Education Center’s Exhibit gallery with a wildlife interpreter. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

•2 PM - 3:30 PM  Archery Basics for Adults & Teens
Visit the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and gain instruction on basic tournament-style archery techniques. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

Tues. June 4

•8:15 AM - 10:15 AM Kayaking the Sound
Visit the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and take a 2.5 mile paddle by kayak and discover rich sport fish habitat of the Currituck Sound. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

•2 PM. - 2:45 PM  Fish Printing
Visit the Outer Banks Center of Wildlife Education and learn Gyotaku: Japanese Fish Printing, which used to be a way of keeping records of fish caught. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

•3 PM – 4 PM  Tracks and Traces
Join the educators at the Outer Banks Center of Wildlife Education Center and learn the techniques used to track and identify local wildlife. For more information call 252.453.0221 ex. 1.

•9:15 AM - 10:45 AM  Archery Basics for Kids
Visit the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and learn about archery history, safety, equipment, and techniques of basic tournament- style archery skills.

Join the Whalehead Gallery, Sanctuary Vineyards, Vineyards on the Scuppernong and Corolla Wine, Cigar and Gourmet as they present local, national, and international wines in a beautiful setting. There will be fun kite activities for children and pets on a leash are welcome.

Enjoy this annual outdoor art show on the waterfront ground of Currituck Heritage Park. This festival features the unique talents of over 100 quality artists with a wide variety of media plus musical entertainment, local food concessions, art auction, and children's activities.  Admission is FREE! $5 parking donation requested.

Thurs. June 20

•10 AM - 5 PM 12th Annual “ Under The Oaks” Arts Festival
Enjoy this annual outdoor art show on the waterfront ground of Currituck Heritage Park. •5 PM  21th Annual Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks
Join us at Currituck Heritage Park in Corolla on Thursday July 4th at 5pm. Enjoy food, fun activities, and fabulous music! Bring your blanket or lawn chairs and spread out for the best fireworks show on the Outer Banks! Fireworks begin at dusk. The boat basin and boat launch will be closed on July 4th.
