Outer Banks Brewing Station “Pubkin” Patch

Enjoy fabulous cooler weather in the backyard, sample seasonal treats and fill your day with autumn festivities at the Brewing Station’s family-friendly “Pubkin” Patch.

Island Farm Pumpkin Patch

Pick the perfect locally grown pumpkin while sipping on cider at Island Farm’s 12th Annual Pumpkin Patch. Historic demonstrations, activities and games make this a harvest celebration you won’t want to miss. Admission for visitors aged four and older is $10. Children three and under are admitted free.

Pioneer Theater

It's not Halloween without creepy movies, and the Pioneer Theater in Downtown Manteo will be showing three classics. Friday the 13th will open on Friday the 13th, followed by The Addams Family and Casper the Ghost. Fees apply.

Fall Open House at the Farm

Join the Corolla Wild Horse Fund for fall fun on the farm. Meet and learn the stories of the rescued Corolla horses currently in their care. Outer Banks Ghost Tours

Do spirits walk among us? Take a Ghost Tour through Downtown Manteo to the spookiest spots in this coastal town. As your guide shares some local lore and history, keep a look out for eerie sights and sounds. Open to all ages. Register in advance.

Wicked Woods

Folks have been terrorized by this haunted attraction for 10 years now. Not for the faint of heart, Wicked Woods is sure to have you running scared. Fridays and Saturdays in October beginning the 13th and Sunday, October 29th from 7:30-11pm. Admission is $20 cash at the door.

Dare to Scare 5k & Sweet Treat Fun Run

Get your costume and boo crew together for a run benefitting the Virginia Tillett Community Center’s annual toy drive on Saturday, October 28th beginning at 8am. Register in advance.

A Night of 1587 Pumpkins

Jack-o-lanterns will light up the night on October 28th at the Elizabethan Gardens! Leading up to this event, you’re invited to visit the Gardens on October 25th-27th from 10am-4pm to carve a free pumpkin that will be part of the festivities. The big event is on Saturday, October 28th with trick-or-treating, costumes, contests and of course, pumpkins! Fees apply. Details and tickets.

Porridge, Pumpkins & Pints 

Paint a pumpkin and drink a pint at Waveriders on October 27th. Ticket includes a beverage of choice, special menu featuring a soup and sandwich pairing and a pumpkin to paint.
