Located approximately one mile north of the Town of Duck, Carolina Dunes is beautiful ocean-to-sound community consisting of about 230 homes. The southern boundary is marked by Widgeon Drive, and northern boundary marked by Old Squaw Drive.
The Carolina Dunes community offers 3 public beach accesses.
- Access 1 is between Old Squaw Drive and Sprigtail Drive.
- Access 2 is between Canvasback Drive and Wood Duck Drive.
- Access 3 is between Pintail Drive and Widgeon Drive.
Carolina Dunes also offers community sound access via one access point on Duck Rd at the end of Canvasback Drive, and features benches for relaxation, a pier for simple fishing and crabbing, and of course, stunning sunset views.
