Sit on the roof top deck each morning and watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean as you sip that first cup of coffee.
The first level welcomes you with classic charm and ample seating in the bright and beachy living space. The gathering area features a flat screen TV and is a perfect place for the family to relax together. The eat-in kitchen has seating for six, and is well equipped for preparing all of your favorite family recipes. A charcoal grill is provided to cook your catch of the day on. Three bedrooms all guarantee sweet dreams after a busy day at the beach, with bed and bath linens provided. First bedroom has a queen size bed, TV, and a private deck access. Second bedroom has a bunk bed, and the third bedroom is a queen en suite with private bath. There is a full bath in the hall area, with a washer and dryer available as well.
At the top of the stairs, the sitting room will become your favorite spot to escape and listen to the ocean. There is a wet bar, and a mini refrigerator for your convenience. The owners have thoughtfully provided many local history books so that you can immerse yourself in the history of Hatteras Island. Step out on to the large roof deck and be amazed at the panoramic ocean views. This is a perfect place to work on that summer glow, have a picnic or just breathe in that salt air.

great house
The kitchen had the basics needed. All comfy! Great house, but too many mosquitos. Also, the security light kept flashing. Love the safety, but didn’t need anything psychedelic going on at all hours of the day or night.

Everything We Needed
Our family loved the secluded getaway this house provided. Watch out for mosquitos if you plan to spend time outside the house (not beach). They don't manage to make it to the rooftop lounge though.
The house is in a quiet community which was perfect for my daily morning run. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach over dunes, but if you have no mobility problems then it is no trouble. The beach was never crowded so you had plenty of space to yourself. All in all, excellent house and stay.

Oceanfront with no ocean view
We have been staying in the Outer Banks for almost a decade & this was by far the worst rental. The only thing good we can say about this stay is that it was clean. There are labels on everything & if the home was laid out properly it wouldn't be necessary, it is very deceiving to say it is ocean front because the only thing we have a view of is the forest that is behind it. Even when sitting on the upper deck all you can see is the dune & trees. This home had the necessities in the kitchen for the week but no cleaning supplies except for a broom. Every bedroom is carpeted & we were not left a vacuum. We were not given a key to the back door and it is locked automatically, the bathroom doors do not lock at all, . The house is surrounded by a moat due to all of the rain but all of the neighbors driveways & yards have dried up except for this one because the driveway is deteriorated and just filled with mud and the backyard is surrounded by trees and does not receive the sunlight to dry. We have tons of bites on each of our bodies from mosquitoes. Sadly, this will not be a home we book again.

Great bargain
You cant find another ocean front cottage like this for the $$. We have booked a second week for this September. The only issues major of concern we had was the lack of internet service. The outdoor shower had zero water pressure but we took the head off and cleaned it out and then it was great. The ants are too be expected. Can't wait to get back.
