We want everyone to have a fun and safe vacation. Here are a few fire safety tips for your Outer Banks vacation.
Fire Safety
• Smoke detector. Our inspectors check operation on a routine basis; however, it is the renters responsibility to check the smoke detector upon arrival and to advise the Sun Realty office immediately if the smoke detector is not working properly.
• Tenants are not permitted to burn candles within the rental unit.
• Make sure everyone knows to Stop, Drop, and Roll in case of clothing catching fire.
• Do not leave cooking appliances unattended while on or cooking.
• Discard smoking materials properly.
• Have an escape plan including two exits and a safe meeting spot.
• Know the physical address of the home you are staying in. Please note all of our cottage numbers have a rental unit number, but this is not the physical address of the home.
