The words "Christmas" and "beach" may not go hand-in-hand for some people, but the Outer Banks is filled with holiday spirit this time of year! (Santa comes to the beach too, you know.) From illuminated lighthouses to Christmas parades, holiday festivities are in full swing. Here are just a few of the many things to see and do on the Outer Banks this holiday season...

On Thursday November 26th 2009, the Outer Banks Running Club hosts the Outer Banks Gobbler 5K.
This 5K out-and-back road course has a total of 250 runners, 4 will be Sun Realty employees!
Ali Breaux, Genelle Carter, Brenda Davis-Williams, and Kim & Dan Stembridge, will all be participating in the Thanksgiving Day race.
Turkey Call is 8:00 am as Gobblers run/trot/walk on West Sea Chase Drive through the neighborhood roads of “The Village of Nags Head” to reach the Finish Line on Links Dr.

The OBX Marathon is only 2 days away and the Outer Banks is buzzing with activity! Businesses are decorating with their town colors and putting inspirational messages on their marquees for the participants.

Sun Realty would like to wish Steve Trimble GOOD LUCK! Steve is the Property Consultant in the Kill Devil Hills Sun Realty office, and he will be running in the ½ marathon.

Let me catch everyone up to speed...
For about a decade, "the bridge" has been an almost mythical thing. Locals and Outer Banks vacationers randomly heard that a bridge connecting the Currituck Mainland and Corolla, NC was a possibility, but thought construction was still years away. Believe it or not, we may actually be driving across the thing 3 years from now!
