There is alot going on this weekend on the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. From music festivals to family-fun events, there is something for everyone to do on the OBX!

Outer Banks Blue Grass Festival:
This family event features blue grass stars such as Rhonda Vincent and Doyle Lawson. The 3 day event takes place at Roanoke Island Festival Park as well as The Ramada in Kill Devil Hills.

The Duck Jazz Festival:
The Sixth Annual Duck Jazz Festival will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 beginning at 11:00 a.m. on the Duck Town Green, with gates set to open at 10:00 a.m. Currently scheduled to perform are: The Rippingtons featuring Russ Freeman, Paula Athertson, The Fuzz Band, and Emme St.James & Her Jazz Gentlemen.

Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation ninth annual fun run:
The ninth annual Fun Run, sponsored by the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, will be Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at Sun Realty in Avon.
Again this year, the organizers ask all runners and walkers to wear something pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A prize will be given to the most "PINKED OUT" person. Festivities will include music, barbecue, activities for kids, a bake sale, prizes, dove release by Hatteras Doves and much more.

20th Parade of Homes:

21 featured coastal homes are on display for this annual Home Builders Association event. Home selections feature new designs and many incorporate new technologies, best building practices and ‘green’ features.  From Duck to Nags Head/Manteo Causeway. All homes are open from Thursday, October 4 through Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
