Just a short drive away from many activities, your family can enjoy all that the Outer Banks has to offer, including beach accesses across the beach road. Local shopping offers you the chance to pick up one-of-a-kind items only found on the Outer Banks, as well as all the souvenirs you’ll want to take home to your family and friends. Our local restaurants offer great options for any taste, from local seafood to American classics. If you want to add a little adventure to your vacation, try some water sports or hang gliding.

house was excellent
This was our first time in Nags Head. We prefer the quiet of Southern Shores. House was excellent with lots of little things that made the stay more comfortable ( night lights, parking on side of driveway, walkway to neighborhood to avoid the main road). The kitchen was very clean and well stocked. Stove top is outdated but worked just fine.

The house was well-appointed and met our needs well. Being located on busy Croatian HWY was not our ideal but the walk to the beach was reasonably easy.

Loved the house for the most part but did not like being so close the the highway. Couches are deep. Could use some throw pillows for people such as myself with short legs. Well equipped kitchen, but the stove could use an upgrade.

Favorite Place
Looney Dunes was the perfect place for my family vacation. It offered everything you could want for a beach getaway. The house was spotless and spacious. There are countless areas where each guest could kick their feet up and just relax. The pool offered a fantastic option for those that don’t enjoy getting in the ocean and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. OBX is already my favorite place in the world and now I have found the perfect place to stay while there. You can really see the attention to detail and love that the owners put into the home. I wouldn’t recommend staying anywhere else other than Looney Dunes.

Soooooo Relaxing
We stayed at the Looney Dunes in Nags Head last year and it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. The house was amazing. It's a very well kept home and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. All of the bedrooms and family areas are very large and spacious. Very convenient to shops, parks, pier and restaurants too. Nice short walk to the beach and on lazy days we lounged around the pool. We walked to Jockey's Ridge during the evening, toured the visitor center and took some great photos. I would definitely recommend staying here again. Thanks Sun Realty for the GREAT family memories at the Looney Dunes!

Great House=Great Vacation
Great vacation! The house is perfectly located in Nags Head and just a short walking distance to shopping, coffee houses, pier, restaurants, putt putt course, parks and to the beach. The pool and hot tub were really nice too. The house has everything you need and a very beachy décor that makes you feel like you've been to the beach. The house was very roomy and easy to share with friends. I loved the cartoon paintings on the decks....definitely a nice touch for the Looney Dunes. This house is very well kept and the people at Sun Realty were great too.
