Located at Milepost 9.5 in Kill Devil Hills, this centrally located home offers everything you need for a perfect OBX vacation, including a private heated pool and a short 350 ft walk to the beach! Direct beach access is across Rte.12 (the beach road). Journey's Return's convenient location is also near many great restaurants and shopping, so you will never need to go far to enjoy all the Outer Banks has to offer. This is a professionally decorated house with ocean views. All 4 bedrooms have their own private bath.
Sheets and towels are provided for full weeks only. Guests will also receive discounted golf rates for Nags Head Golf Links.
The heated pool is open from the 2nd week of April to the 3rd week of October. Pool heat is available for an additional $300.
Recent updates include: Tiled flooring in the living room, breakfast area, and foyer. LVT flooring throughout the mid level and carpeted stairs throughout. Renovated top and mid level bathrooms. Renovated top level deck. Large TV in the living room and large TVs in all the bedrooms. King and Queen mattresses were replaced at the end of the 2023 rental season, as were the couch and loveseat in the top level living room. A new polywood table and chair set is being added to the backyard prior to the 2024 rental season, as well.
*The elevator and the fireplace are not available for guest use.

the best house ever
This was the best house we have ever stayed in. It was extremely clean and well kept. It had everything we could possibly imagine. The set up and decorations were soo nice! We loved every aspect of this house!! The walk to the beach was very close and now bad with two children! The location was perfect. The road it is on it a quiet street, you could ride bikes on it. But if you go out to the main road, you are near all the restaurants and shops and activities. It was a super short walk to the beach and we did it with two kiddos! We loved this house so much!

Great house with perfect location
This house has everything for the perfect week at the OBX. It is close to the beach and within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. It is well-equipped and clean. Having bathrooms in every bedroom was a big plus. The only thing that would make it even better would be a refrigerator on the ground floor, so people don't go upstair upon leaving the pool area. It would also be helpful in stocking coolers for the beach. Excited to return this summer!

Great house and location.
This house is close to everything. It has everything in it that you need during your stay. Pool and elevator are nice!!! Only wish the king master had a bigger bath. Will return again!!

My family has rented this
My family has rented this cottage 2 years in a row and will also be there 2009 summer. The cottage is just great it has all you need for a great week at the beach or by the pool. The location is great beacause you are close to most restaurants and shopping. The house is beautiful.
