This well-cared for beach cottage is an easy 550 feet walk from the beach access. Soak in the private hot tub after a long day on the beach or head over to the community pool for a refreshing swim. Every member of the family will love this dog friendly home including the four-legged ones.

Shore Thing is located near the Town of Duck bike path. Take a ride into Duck Village, where you'll find great local boutique shops and fine dining restaurants. Guests will also enjoy community sound access with seating under a shaded gazebo.

This home accepts mini-vacation and is a great choice for long weekend getaways in the fall!

The Tuckahoe community outdoor pool is open from mid-May through early October in 2023. 2024 community pool dates are TBD.

Overall

Loved the yard. Pretty road. We are considering renting the same place next year. We have been to OBX many times and have never wanted to return to the same house so this is a big compliment coming from us.

Great location. Easy walk to ocean and sound. Quick walk to come back for lunch/bathroom. Quiet neighborhood. Stayed here 5 years ago and came back because of location and being dog-friendly. The new steps and decking are nice. Would give it 5 stars if there was a King bed and a Keurig.

Short walk to the beach was nice. This house was great for our family. It was the cleanest home we have stayed in at OBX. The kitchen was well equipped, and beautiful! Beds were pretty uncomfortable, but overall the home was great! It is very apparent that the owners take a lot of care of this home.

Beds are comfortable but definitely showing their age layout was great though. The kitchen was very well equipped with nice dishes and glasses. We did not cook this time but it definitely had everything that one would need. The house was great for us for this week and let us bring our dog. Distance to beach and tennis court were perfect. I do think that the house is very well maintained but it is a bit outdated and the property was clean enough but not super clean. The hot tub was amazing and we used it everyday. We loved loved our stay.
