Week one: Sun in the morning, rain at nap time. Lots of family and wonderful food. water is warm for swimming. The updates are great, but the gates on the deck are most important for the pets. ...

9/11 - 18, 2011 Another great experience in the Sea Mist at Duck, NC. We were very pleased to see the improvements. The windows are wonderful and most appreciated were the "tall toilets." ... The beach had changed due to Hurricane Irene, but the dogs had a great time in the surf.

July 31 - August 14, 2011 We have been coming to the OBX for 20ish years. While we have stayed at a few newer (with bells and whistles) houses over the years, we all agreed that Sea Mist will be the house we will always remember. It's so creative and obvious that you put a lot of thought and love in the little touches.The kids were tickled to discover something new - from our 5 year old discovering the bodacious pirate babe to the different light settings for the hanging light....

July 10 - 17, 2011 What a wonderful week. We returned again, 7th year? We have lost track. Without fail, we were surprised when we arrived. Love the entertainment bump out! Great new windows and bathrooms... The weather this week was better than ever...Lots of pelicans and dolphins. Took the kayak way out following a pod of dolphins with a couple of paddle-boarders (very cool experience). We enjoyed a full moon this week and on the last night an orange jewel rose out of the sea, spectacular! Our friends from Richmond joined us ...Time always passes so quickly here and we always feel so happy being here. You know we will return.

... Granddaughter caught "Flora the Flounder" which provided a meal and the boys caught blue fish for another big fish fry. Weather has been great, just windy one day when the flag blew off! Evening provided great star-gazing from the crow's nest. Well, our Mich., CO, and NC families returned to the O.B. and Sea Mist made our stay so special. We would love to return. April 17 - 24, 2011 ...We had a magical week in your comfy, well-supplied, roomy, clean, fun house. Everything worked ( had problems with the DVD, but my daughter found the input button and it worked) Everything we could possible need was thoughtfully provided. Wonderful Family Vacation
April 10 - 17, 2011 We have had a wonderful family vacation at Sea Mist! The house was so well equipped - there was something for everyone. My husband & I especially enjoyed playing foosball! We are here with my parents, aunt, & 15 mo. old son. & had a wonderful week of sunny skies, walks on the beach, coffee in the crow's nest and a new movie to watch every night. Our family has rented several beach houses over the past few decades, and Sea Mist is our all-time favorite. Our only regret is that our stay was too short. We intend to return.We especially appreciate being able to bring our dog. It was his first trip to the beach and we thoroughly enjoyed having him with us. The Henderson Family of Richmond Virginia

This place is even more than what my husband, our 2 year old son, and I could have hoped for. This is the best place we have stayed in for a family vacation. Sea Mist is set up for pure fun, relaxation and enjoyment.We'll be back!!

8th straigh stay
9/12 - 9/19/ 2010
Our 11th visit to the OBX, we are comfortable with knowing our way around. This is the 8th straight stay at the SeaMist. Love the addition of the "MAN CAVE" bar under the main house. Spent three day in the solitude it offered while the ladies baked in the sun above. The dogs enjoyed a familiar residence again also.

Loved It!
Labor day week
Our family of 4 + Hitch, the dog, had a great time. We loved taking the double bike out to get Duck donuts (everyday)! We loved cocktails on the crow's nest - the views are spectacular. Fishing in the surf brought us some blue fish - yum! The Pirate room (& hideaway booty) is a cool touch - watched a little NFL down there. A great week!

"Awesomeness"

We had a wonderful week! Since all 8 of us want to add our "two cents", we are making a list of awesomeness - Hammock chair, crow's nest, hammock, pirate's den, pelicans, game room, seashells, boogie boards, seeing stingrays, body surfing, sand forts, kites, skim boarding, sand in our toes, crab hunting at night, walking for ice cream, riding tandem bike, bunk beds, outdoor shower, beer at the beach, path to the beach, playing on the sand bar, diving for lobsters. Just kidding about the last one. Seriously, we had a wonderful week enjoying this beautiful beach.

Great Place
Great Place - the kids loved the pirates den and crow's nest. We had 6 girls with us and they had a great time. Husband enjoyed reading and catching up on sleep. I enjoyed the beach.

Recharges our souls
July 11-18
As always "SeaMist" recharges our souls! This is our 5th or 6th visit and each year there is something new. Dolphins were breaching out of the ocean and we saw more pelicans than last year. Good hot weather, with minimal rain (passing showers - typical) Skim boarding, boogie boarding, and surf lessons. Awesome! We had so much fun. We booked for next year.

We love the SeaMist!!

Second trip to SeaMist and we loved it. Weather was perfect, beautiful everyday. Water was clear and clean. Caught 8 bluefish and cooked them for dinner.
The new room is great - the kids loved the pirate and thought the porthole was cool. SeaMist is very comfortable and we will be back next year.

4TH STAY AT SEAMIST
This year marked our 4th stay at Seamist. Our family has really enjoyed it. The new additions are wonderful. The kids loved the game room and bikes, and we all enjoyed the Pirates Den. The porthole is great! The weather was beautiful this week. The water was warm and the fishing was good. We are already looking forward to coming back. We feel very much at home here.

The oceanfront location of
The oceanfront location of this house is amazing. The views from the crow's nest, deck and dune deck are really beautiful. We could walk up to the Villiage of Duck for ice cream after dinner. Mornings on the beach with no one else in sight made this vacation one we will remember forever. We'll be back!
