This coastal home offers a spacious and relaxing environment for your next Outer Banks vacation!

Seven master suites with private baths, 3 half baths, ample amenities, multiple decks and unobstructed ocean views make Overdraft the ideal spot for seaside fun! Enjoy an inviting and comfortable environment. Energy efficient lighting throughout makes this home environmentally responsible. Take a dip in the 28x17' private pool, unwind in the hot tub for 6 or relax by the poolside cabana. An event deck over looking the pool, wet bar, outdoor shower, gas BBQ and sand volleyball court further compliment the outdoor area. Indoors, you'll find a sports bar/rec room with 2 TVs, Xbox, Foosball, billiards table, wet bar, DVD/VCR and high speed DSL.

In an effort to conserve energy and help protect our beautiful coastal environment, the owner of Overdraft has implemented eco-friendly, green features. Plus, the homeowner is providing complimentary bed linens for your convenience on all weekly reservations.

Overdraft is located one house over from SS-146. These two gracious vacation homes make perfect accommodations for large family groups with only one home in between the two makes for a short walk. Spacious floor plans, fun amenities and beautiful interiors are sure to enhance your OBX Special Event. Together, SS-147 and SS-146 can comfortably accommodate 28 guests.

Can't stay away!

We've been back two times since my last review and it just keeps getting better! The owners have made repairs, upgraded furniture, installed heavy duty large capacity washer and dryer, replaced the refrigerator in the kitchen and even put a second refrigerator in the garage! They graciously accommodated our schedule so that we could have a family Christmas on OBX and it was wonderful. The location is perfect for easy walks to the beach even with four toddlers. It is quiet and removed from the hustle bustle but close to stores for easy shopping and sightseeing. We've been vacationing on OBX for years and this house is the best! Seven comfortable suites easily accommodate ten adults and four kids with plenty of room for family dinners and hanging out together on the upper level. We've booked again for June and can't wait! Fingers crossed for a few new mattresses.

Sun Realty made our vacation great!

The house is showing some wear and tear and there are some areas as listed by others that require attention but the staff of Sun Realty addressed all maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner and helped to make this the most relaxing vacation I've ever taken. We've stayed in the Outer Banks for 9 years and used 3 different realty companies and Sun Realty has by far been the most courteous and most responsive to our needs. They returned phone calls and advised on the status of repairs. The house, pool and hottub had all been cleaned between guests beautifully and was the cleanest house we've ever stayed in. The house itself has a fantastic floorplan with 7 suites! The two washer dryer units were helpful and the two dishwashers make clean up a pleasure. I think that the only thing that would have made this vacation home perfect would have been a second refrigerator ~ even out in the garage ~ to put drinks and extra food in. With 14 people vacationing and one refrigerator we spent more time than we would have liked going to the grocery store. We've pre-booked for 2019 and can't wait to get back!

I will first say that the home is beautiful and I absolutely loved the floor plan. The pool and hot tubs were awesome to enjoy time away from the beach. We were so disappointed by the amount of the money we paid for our vacation to see the condition of the home. It's amazing how photos can be deceiving. During our week long stay our family discovered things to be broken. We almost found a new one each day. Most of the beach chairs are cracked, the ceiling fans made noises and shook, the dining room table was disgusting. Everything that sat on it stuck to it. We tried to put a puzzle together and ruined many pieces after they stuck to the table. The dining room chairs are filthy and feel as if they are going to fall apart. Most of the deck chairs are broken, leaving only a few that were usable. One of the chairs scratched one of the children due to a nail coming out on the seat. The main level screen door kept falling off every time we tried to open or close it. We finally just left it off. All of the furniture in the house is filthy and could use a good cleaning. The faucet in the game room does not work. Although not a necessity, the wine fridge did not cool properly. The bathroom door in the bunk room did not work properly. The pre-teens staying in that room had to be rescued several times after they were locked in there and could not open the door. On two occasions they were locked in there for over 10 minutes until someone heard them yelling to be let out. During our stay it was necessary for us to call maintenance due a leak in a downstairs master bedroom. It looks as if it had been leaking for some time due to the size of the water stain and when it was touched by a finger to test if it was wet the finger went right through the ceiling. The maintenance worker stated that it wasn't leaking and placed a piece of cardboard to cover the hole. The cardboard was wet by the next day. The house could use a much needed update. The outside paint was peeling and cracked and the inside ceilings had evidence of a lot of prior/present leaks. Despite the many issues, our family enjoyed our stay. I definitely could not recommend this house for anyone. I expected more for the price paid. I only give it a 3/5 stars due to the closeness of the beach access and the awesome floor plan/amenities.

I will start out with the cons. It’s need a new pantry door, someone came out to temporarily fix it but it needs to be replaced. The dining table needs to be refinished or something because everything will stick to it including the placemats provided. DO NOT use paper plates. All cushions in dining chairs and bar chairs show signs of use and could use a good shampoo. We removed the coffee table and put it in an unused bedroom to prevent the little ones from possible completely breaking it. Very wobbly, shocked the it supports the glass table top at all. And ice dispenser never worked. Freezes would make ice but wouldn’t dispense. Could have been frozen. And last con would be volleyball area. It didn’t concern our family this year but it’s not very useable, needs to be cleaned up. With the being said, let’s talk about the pros! Plenty of space, grant we o my had 6 adults and 3 children. But we were all very comfortable in our rooms, living area, etc. the pool oh the pool and the hot tub were amazing. It was nice to be able to to take a dip in the pool after a hot morning at the beach. The beach access was very close, probably less then 2 mins. Literally across the street and through a non public parking lot. Which also meant the beach was not crowded at all. I thought the traffic on the road was going to be worse. But it wasn’t that bad, also wasn’t exactly beach season just yet. Great views. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items and dishes. All in all, the cons were only minor and our entire group will be glad to stay at this property again. Which we most certainly plan on it!

*Pools for 2020: Heated pools are generally open from the 2nd week of April to the 3rd week of October, while unheated pools are generally open from the second week of May to the 2nd week of October.
