Excellent oceanfront condo in the southern area of Nags Head. This comfortable two bedroom unit is all one level with plenty of room for relaxing ONLY a few steps to go up to unit. The fully equipped kitchen opens into a dining area with wet bar. Gather in the living room with flatscreen TV/DVD and cozy furnishings. Amenities like the washer/dryer, oceanfront location and community tennis courts will make your vacation even easier.

The Yachtsman is close to Jennette's Pier and located a little over a mile away from the Outer Banks Fishing Pier where the restaurant will cook your catch of the day for you. The condo is also a ten minute walk to legendary and local favorite Sam & Omie’s Restaurant, Owen’s Seafood Restaurant, Cahoon’s Market and Fat Boyz Ice Cream & Grill. Take a ten minute drive across the bridge to Roanoke Island to enjoy downtown Manteo’s waterfront, Roanoke Island Festival Park, The Lost Colony and much more!

Great Location. Lacking Upkeep

Condo is in a great location. Oceanfront in South Nags Head away from the busiest parts of the Outer Banks, yet close to all of the major attractions and ammenities. Unfortunately, the condo has not been very well maintained. Yachtsman Condos are older, but that is not necessarily the issue. The issue is the lack of upkeep. The handle on the sliding glass door was broken when we arrived. We reported it the next morning because we arrived after hours. No one came to fix it. In the master bedroom the lamp was missing the knob on the on/off switch which could pose an electrical hazard. The ceiling in the master bathroom was missing plaster in two sections and the knob to change the water between the tub and shower was jammed so only the shower worked. The tub also drained very slowly. In the living room, one of the electrical outlets actually pushes into the wall when you try to plug something into it. Like the lamp switch, this could pose a potential electrical hazard. In general, the oceanfront location away from traffic is the only saving feature of this unit. Not worth the price paid as there are numerous other options available.

Great place

This condo was the best decision we made on our trip to Nags Head. For context, we have two kids (2 and 4 years old). The condo was big, clean and so convenient. The two bedrooms were separated by the bathrooms, and the master has a sliding door out onto the deck looking onto the beach. We could sit on that deck all day with that view. You get to the beach by walking out the front door and going around the building - this is so they can protect the dunes. Sooooo convenient! The pool in the front was perfect for the afternoons when we didn't feel up to another trip to the beach. Having that pool made everything that much easier - particularly keeping the kids fully entertained. The location is awesome also - right near the bridge to Roanoke island, including the aquarium. Tons of food, shopping and mini golf within minutes. Final note: check in and check out was insanely simple.

relaxing........

This place was so relaxing. The views were good. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. No noise from the other units. We were really disappointed that our stay in Rodanthe was canceled, but South Nags Head and this condo made up for it. We would stay here again.

*Pools for 2020: Heated pools are generally open from the 2nd week of April to the 3rd week of October, while unheated pools are generally open from the second week of May to the 2nd week of October.
