With moderate temperatures known to last through the holidays, this cottage is open year-round and is the perfect home for your group's annual golf excursions. As the name implies, Grey Dog Estates would also like to invite your four-legged family members along for the trip.
With views of such a beautiful course right off your back deck, it’s easy to forget the other incredible amenities that are part of the Village of Nags Head. Known for its seclusion and exclusivity, The Village provides a sanctuary of sorts. Tucked back on the sound side away from the hustle and bustle, The Village of Nags Head offers free trolley service from your neighborhood to its top-of-the-line Beach Club Resort. There you will find one of the largest outdoor oceanfront pools on the Outer Banks as well as tennis courts and other kid-friendly areas. Also found in the Village are two separate sound access points giving you, your kids and pets another place to enjoy one of the more underutilized aspects of the Outer Banks, the Albemarle Sound. The transport shuttle only runs between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Sheets and towels are not provided but can be rented for an additional fee.
*Community pool will be open weekends only until mid-May and will switch to weekends only again in mid-September.
Garage is for guest use.

really nice and beautifully designed
The house was beautiful and well organized which made it easy to put everything back where it belonged. The detailed rooms and guest information book was so creative. The top floor was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The bedrooms in the middle were also very nice with the exception of the beds. They were not as comfortable as I had hoped. The hot tub was awesome for 3 people, tops. Any more people would have made it a tight fit. Our dog and toddler loved the back deck, however I wish it had a swing gate to help enclose it a little. Overall the house was really nice and beautifully designed. I would def stay here again if the beds were upgraded. It was the perfect space for our family.

Please relay to the owners our appreciation for the gift basket. We loved it and snacked on it all week - it was great! Our granddaughter loved the Wii. The kitchen was well equipped. We did end up buying a pitcher for tea/orange juice and left it at the house for other guests. The upstairs bed was a bit too firm. We bought a mattress pad that helped. Loved the living area.

house had everything
The house had everything we wanted & needed.. the hot tub was especially nice & relaxing after spending time at the beach. Beds & sofas were comfy! Kitchen was AMAZING!! So well organized & so well supplied! Every appliance & extra we could imagine & then some! Rooms are beautifully decorated & comfortable. Perfect setting for family & friends!

We enjoyed the convenience of this location. The oceanfront pool complex was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped. Downstairs mattresses could use an upgrade. Not very comfortable.

Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at Grey Dog Estates. The home is beautifully decorated and accommodated my whole family. The kitchen was fully stocked and every little gadget we could have possibly needed was there. I also enjoyed the large bathtub in our room, the hot tub, walks to the sound, access to The Village Beach Club, and easy access to shopping. The owners of this home took a lot of time and consideration when thinking of their guests. Sun realty was also very helpful when we needed anything and very prompt at any requests we had, as well as making check in and out a breeze. I would definitely stay at Grey Dog Estates again and rent from Sun Realty. Thank you!

Future vacation home?
We had a house that we normally stayed in that fell through with less than a week until our vacation. Luckily we found this house that was big enough for all of us and within our budget still available. A few minor things about the posting vs our experience... posting says there is room for 5 cars, but if you have bigger cars like we had, 4 is the most we could fit... posting description says 3 king beds, 1 queen, and a pyramid bunk, but the pictures say all the rooms have king beds, but the one room really does have a queen bed... also the pyramid bunk has a trundle bed under it. Also, the description says there are 7 TVs, but we could only find 6, but that's not a big deal to us. I believe the owners are planning some upgrades over the winter to fix up the place more and do something to the garage space. Also, be cautious after dark with the frogs. They come out and hang out on the windows and doors and we had to chase a few around that accidentally got in. All in all, it's a nice place and a great location, the only issue we really had were the beds could maybe use a boxspring to make them a little more comfortable. Not sure if we will go back to our old house next year, but if not we will definitely consider coming back here.
