More laid-back vacationers can enjoy the local shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Specifically, projects are planned to take place along the oceanfront in Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, South Nags Head, Buxton and Avon. simple beach house
Very small, simple beach house. Just what we needed. Kitchen was clean, had everything we needed, outdated but doesn’t bother us. Very tight space. Couch was uncomfortable. Beds were okay.

The wi-fi was excellent. We had reception on the beach! The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The beds and living area were comfortable.

SO CLOSE TO THE OCEAN!
We have been vacationing at Steele Away and Steele Away Too (across the street) for more than 20 years. The proximity to the ocean can’t be beat! When we started staying at Steele Away, our children were very young, and they could be napping in the cottage while we had a baby monitor on the beach—not to mention the convenience of going back & forth to the cottage as needed for cold drinks, snacks, bathroom, etc. instead of loading everything up for a day on the beach. We love the covered porch for a break from the sun and watching the family & ocean. The outside shower is very handy for cleaning off sandy toddlers! The cottage is cozy with coastal decor and has everything you need. As our family has grown, we have sometimes also rented Steele Away Too for added space. Steele Away is centrally located, convenient to all the Outer Banks has to offer, and a great place to make memories!
