Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from this exquisite third-level condo. From the large private deck it is common to see dolphins playing in the surf, soaring pelicans, and majestic Osprey! It’s called the Penthouse for a good reason, as it truly has the best ocean and beach views of any Colony By The Sea condo unit. The views from numerous windows will make you feel as if you are standing watch from the bow of a tall pirate ship as you sail through the Graveyard of the Atlantic. Watch the sunrise from your balcony located off the living room and feel the salty sea air against your skin as you enjoy your morning coffee or tea.
After a tranquil day at the beach, if the ocean surf gets a bit rough for swimming, the Penthouse also has a large ocean-facing community pool where you can work on your tan and watch the kids play. When the sun goes down you can once again kick back and relax on your private deck enjoying the tranquil starlit sky.
This is also one of the very few condos equipped with a washer/dryer. Three skylights were also installed to add to the natural lighting and beauty of this charming home.

wonderful location
The location is wonderful! As long as you don't mind 3 flights of steps (which we don't mind), the view you get on the balcony is great. The inside of this condo had most things you need, with some exceptions, but the location is super. It is also very nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit!

The master
The master bed was comfy. The sofa was very uncomfortable. The cable was extremely limited. A drain board for the dishes would be handy along with a hand towel and dish rag. 50 steps is a lot of steps when you do them several times a day.

Best affordable ocean front
The beds were comfortable. The Kitchen had everything we needed for home cooked meals. Best affordable ocean front home in Duck!

great condo
It is a great condo, in a great location. The kitchen was fine. The owner needs to buy a new mattress in the bedroom. It is very squeaky and uncomfortable.

The panoramic view is awesome. The condo is perfect. The washer/dryer are very helpful. Staying here each summer keeps me alive the rest of the year. The kitchen appliances work perfectly, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the supplies I need to cook for 2 weeks. I slept on the pullout sofa bed in the livingroom to be near the ocean and to see the dawn. It was great!

Happy 2018 OBXers! Welcome back to The Penthouse (COS-301) where we constantly strive to improve your vacation experience. One of the greatest aspects of The Penthouse is the unrivaled panoramic ocean view. In addition to our annual deep cleaning, we enhanced your seafront deck experience by purchasing new, high density polyethylene, CRP Adirondack captain chairs so that you never miss a passing dolphin. We also added two elegant CRP tables so you can enjoy your ocean view with a favorite meal and beverage. It is noteworthy that these new high-end chairs and tables are made from 100% recycled plastic material.
The old clothes dryer was replaced with a new, more efficient and easier to use Whirlpool dryer. The dishwasher was replaced late last season with a quieter, high efficiency Bosch unit.
