This was a great beach house with a million dollar view. The house was very loved meaning a little worn, but was very comfortable. The grounds needed a little TLC. The main floor had plenty of seating and beautiful views of the ocean. There were plenty of chairs around the pool, wave boards for the beach, and beach chairs. The upper deck was huge and we spent every evening outside on the deck. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and bakeware. It lacked garbage bags, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent. It provided any kitchen appliance you could ask for and the pantry space was huge. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows.

I loved that each room had own bathroom. Kitchen was very functional The pantry was an amazing bonus. The sitting for all was also a huge bonus. The stove was a thinker for that first night but we figured it out. Lol Comforters that were provided were not clean The comforter on the master doesn’t fit bed I feel the home owner need to do some outside maintenance esp in pool area. That fence is not going hold that sand back much longer. The sand in shower, pool area in my opinion needs addressing

We had the most wonderful return-visit to Mustang Magnet/CV-57! The weather was spectacular all week and the house fit our needs, as it does every time we are there! This year saw more wild horses than ever before and even had some seek refuge from the heat under the house/carport! Here is our detailed feedback about this spectacular house: The space was more than accommodating for our group of 12 guests. The sleeping arrangements made it perfect for all age groups. The kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of small appliances. Crock pot, blender, coffee maker, and waffle maker are available. All of the cookware and bake ware was in great condition and are of high quality. We paid to have the pool heated, and it was very warm and enjoyable. The safety gate to the pool area gave us great piece of mind. The location and view are spectacular! There is an unobstructed view of the ocean and the house is far enough down the coast to avoid a lot of traffic during the day, yet not a hassle to get to. The lay out is wonderful! The main floor was perfect for a couples, as well as kids, which made us comfortable with the house being multi-level. The upper level bedroom was perfect for "grandma and grandpa" to get away from some of the hustle and bustle of our group and to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee first thing in the morning without waking up the rest of the group. The lower level pool table area is great for hanging out, playing games, and extra food storage (the extra fridge was wonderful)! Its also easy access to load and unload in the carport and provides a couple of other door accesses to other areas of the exterior. All rooms had televisions, which was nice. All had dvd, some had satellite. The upper level bedroom had a very large tv. The main living room had a huge tv, which made for a wonderful movie night. The "bonus room/office" was also a great place for the kids to play their games and watch movies. It became the "kids' hang out room". The house was clean, and that's a task, since its pet friendly and located in the middle of a sand dune! The appliances, bathrooms, and other general areas were completely sand free and clean upon arrival (which I can say, was not the case after a few days of our visit lol)...that brings me to the location and general guest expectation... The house is on the 4x4 beach and this house is a rental (and has been for quite a few years). If you are used to hopping in a vehicle with little-to-no travel stress and a 5 minute jaunt to your nearest grocery, the 4x4 is not for you. If you expect a vacation with no sand in your home, vehicle, pool, etc, and a perfectly manicured location/home, the 4x4 is not for you. There are shells, and beach debris surrounding most of these homes and they are located between and on sand dunes. These homes take weather and wind and salt and sand with little to no barrier, so the windows will be salty and the decks will be worn, and there will be sand in the pool. There are wild horses that roam (its really their home, we are just privileged to co-exist with them), so you may encounter manure- even in your carport! The water is supplied by a well, so if you are accustomed to "city" water, bring bottled. The wifi is there, but is not always lightning fast. Renters (and their pets) are not always the kindest when renting a home that is not theirs, so there is to be some wear and tear expected. For us, the 4x4, and Mustang Magnet, continue to be our location of choice when visiting OBX. There is simply nothing like walking that beach at sunrise with little to no traffic, watching wild horses care for their young just footsteps from your porch, and feeling like you are miles and miles away from the hustle and bustle of "real life". Sun Realty and the owners of Mustang Magnet have continuously made us feel like it is our home away from home and we can't wait to return next year (or before)!
