This home was wonderful, especially after a 10-hour drive! The luggage/grocery rack was a great amenity especially because of the various levels of the house. It made getting our coolers with food up to the 3rd floor kitchen a breeze. The house is very tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and more than ample seating. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could imagine. My husband made a breakfast buffet a few times during our stay and found the cabinets stocked with ample serving dishes and the breakfast bar had more than enough room to allow everyone to serve themselves and find a seat! The homeowner thought of everything right down to including hand soap pumps in every bathroom, additional kitchen towels, hot pads, and fully stocked glassware for the kitchen and bar! The multiple decks and crows nest offer beautiful views of the ocean, town, and the sound. We were a mixed family trip which included my adult sons and my aunt and her family. The house was large enough to allow all of us to have our own privacy but also to gather to share about our day. The recreation room is amazingly decorated and even has a built-in chess board. The window provides a beautiful view of the pool area and a great source of light for the bottom floor room. We spent many night shooting pool and hanging out down there, especially when it was raining. The only issue is that many of the pool cues were in pretty rough shape and could use some tending too. Another great addition to this house is the outside bathroom in the pool area. We were only expecting an outside foot washing station and an outside shower; however, the shower stall is an actual half bath which comes in handy when everyone is at the pool. It allows an area for people to use the restroom and not need to go into the house in there wet bathing suits. We were looking forward to using the outside fire pit but were not able to because of a burn ban at the start of the week, followed but a few nights of rain, and then windy evenings but that is ok. We have already booked the house for next year and are looking forward to it! I can't say enough nice things about this home, its easy walk to the beach, and the homeowner's attention to detail. She even provided additional pet bowls upstairs and downstairs!!! She goes above and beyond!!! This is our second year booking with Sun Realty and I am so glad we found this house!!

June 25, 2016 Thank you so much for letting us use your wonderful home. So beautifully furnished and the kitchen offered many surprises (the good kind) in its cabinets - there was a dish for everything we cooked up. Our family gathered in OBX from the West Coast, up-state NY and SE Pennsylvania for a historic trip that brought our experience in OBX full circle - 27 years ago we brought our 8 month old first born to Southern Shores and this year we introduced our 8-month old grandchild (yikes!) to Avon. While here we witnessed Brexit, the NBA AND NHL draft (sigh!) and talked about the November election. We played games, went shelling, fishing and enjoyed the pool. Thank you Hassett's OBX 2016
