First off, let me say that I would stay here again. Access to the beach is very easy and overall the place is comfortable. We arrived on a Saturday with a lot of food we had brought from home, as well as the Harris Teeter across the street. We adjusted the refrigerator and freezer temps as normal (they say give it 24 hours for temp to adjust). By Sunday afternoon, frozen items in the freezer had melted and the fridge part was not cooling. I was forced to purchase bags of ice and store what items I could in my cooler. I put in a call early Monday morning to rental office and they said someone would be out to look at it. Nobody arrived until after 5 PM that day and he said the fridge needed to be replaced because it was older and parts would cost more than fridge. By then the rental office had closed and he couldn't get a hold of anyone until following morning. Rental office sent another guy out Tuesday afternoon to attempt to "fix" the fridge again. He said it needed to be replaced because fridge had bad freon leak. He charged it and said he was going to rental office to tell them. Thankfully the charge helped and fridge started cooling, saving me from having to go buy ice for the 5th time for my cooler. Wednesday afternoon, they showed up with a new fridge and installed it. This whole experience was a major hassle and ended up costing my family a lot of money in groceries lost, as well as forcing us to eat out more than we planned to do. I guess the good thing is that if we do stay here again we shouldn't have to worry about a refrigerator problem.
