This was our family's first visit to the Outer Banks. We were traveling with almost our entire family and were looking for a place where we could reconnect, relax and enjoy ourselves. Bruthru was the place for us. When we first booked the house is was known as Family Affair (very fitting name as we were an entire family) and it looked lovely. Several weeks prior to arriving we again checked out the website for the house and found that it's name had changed and that it had been completely updated. The finishes that were chosen were bright and modern and added to our experience. The house is beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen and bar area for a family that enjoys cooking and mixing cocktails! We enjoyed many happy hours in the pool. We were also traveling with an 18 month old and found that we were pleasantly surprised that noise did not travel between floors and nap time was a breeze! The game room on the bottom floor was a nice diversion for some family members after a day at the beach. The distance from the beach was very walkable and only took a couple of minutes. Also don't forget to take a few minutes each day to enjoy the upper level deck. In the morning the back provides a lovely cool, shaded area that looks out over peaceful wetlands. In the afternoon the front of the house deck was a favorite spot to sit. Our dog even enjoyed roaming up here safely watching the goings on of people and wildlife. Bruthru was an outstanding vacation rental. We look forward to returning here again!
