Carolina Dunes is in a perfect location, extremely close to the beach access and with ocean views! The lifeguards greeted us each morning and were very friendly and answered any questions we had. The beach is very wide and we loved that there was plenty of space to enjoy the day by the ocean. Carolina Dunes is as pictured in the pictures of the rental. They did replace the grill, added pool furniture, fixed the hot tub and brought some updated TV screens to all of the rooms except the main living room by the kitchen during the week that we were there. However, for the price of a weekly rental the house could use a little extra TLC - there is vegetation growing over the edges of the fence, there are some loose boards on the decks around the house, it could really use a re-painting of the exterior and the mattresses seem like they are the originals and quite uncomfortable. I'm rating this as a 4-star rental as I think the location is wonderful, close to shops, the neighborhood is great, the beach was beautiful and it was pet friendly, and even though some updating occurred during the week we were visiting, it could still use a little more TLC.
