Paying for the view, not the house

Review for 343

Sunday, Sep 6 2015
Stayed here the first week in September 2015. We knew the house was in poor condition due to reviews, but the location was well worth it. Lifegaurded beach and pier are not far away. The view and deck are amazing. The tall table and chairs are rusty and will stain your clothes. Master bed was VERY comfortable and the dog enjoyed having his own twin bed next to our bed. No AC, which was no big deal, but the window screens are all loose (in case anyone has dogs that try to get out). Kitchen windows are screwed shut because they chose not to fix them. The roof in the master bedroom was leaking during and after it rained. The bathroom upstairs still smells like pee. Wifi is not the greatest and we found ourselves resetting the modem every once in a while which helped. House was not the cleanest. We had two voice mails in for maintenance during our stay, both were never responded to. I finally emailed the office and the problems received attention. Linens provided did not include towels, at least not until after I reported the roof leaking. Overall, I would stay here again for the price and location.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of 343, The Roaring 20's. Reviews are very important to us, the homeowners and future guests. With the location and amazing views; it's great for people that are looking for that old Nags Head feel. Back when vacations were simple, and you were coming just for the beach. We do hope to see you again in 2016
