4-Wheel Drive Area

The 4-wheel drive experience is where the paved road ends and the beach is the road. These pristine, remote beaches are only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicle but the solitude is worth the extra effort. The last remaining wild horses of Corolla can be found on the beach and wandering the rolling dunes. You can explore and find old shipwreck skeletons still surfacing along the beautiful beaches that run for miles. All homes are on private wells and septic systems. Plan to buy bottled water for drinking, ice and cooking. You and your family will delight in the natural beauty that this this area has to offer.

Ocean Hill

Just north of Corolla Village, The Currituck Lighthouse and The Whalehead Club, you will find this quiet community. Ocean Hill is an ocean side with rolling dunes, large lots and wide beaches. Just down the street is the end of the road, where 4-wheel drive area starts. All homes in this community are on private wells and septic systems. This is a lovely playgorund, serene and beautiful, for your vacation.

Corolla Village

In the heart of Corolla sits a lovely, old-fashined village, featuring the historic Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club and Park, small shops and The Corolla Chapel. From ocean to sound, cottages are on unpaved, tree-lined roads. You'll love the quaintness and all the conveniences this community and these cottages offer. All homes are on private wells and septic systems. We recommend the purchase of water for drinking and cooking.

The Villages at Ocean Hill

The Villages at Ocean Hill, with gently rolling dunes and peaceful soundside habitat, offers vacationers the natural beauty of the Northern beaches of the Outer Banks. An oceanfront pool, lakefront pool, lakeside tennis courts and oceanfront accesses with parking, will enhance your special visit. Community has municipal water and sewer. There is a new indoor, state-of-the-art, Fitness Center at an extra fee.

Corolla Light

Guests staying in the Corolla Light enjoy endless amenities of a Resort Village. An oceanfront recreation center with pool, basketball, pool tables and many other features are available as well as an indoor Sports Center. You'll find an eight-lane swimming pool, exercise room, sauna, racquetball courts, lounge and indoor tennis courts for an additional fee. Soundside activities such as bicycle and jogging trails, pool, spa and putt-putt golf course, municipal water and sewer are also offered. No matter what your vacation needs, you'll find them in Corolla Light. Pool Schedule: OPENS mid-May to mid-eptember, Weather Permitting. Indoor Pool open year-round.

Mirage

The condominiums and townhomes in Mirage enjoy all of the Corolla Light Amenities. Indoor Sports Center: 8-lane pool, large spa, 3 racquetball courts, 2 clay tennis courts, fitness room, game room, locker rooms and sauna.

Monteray Shores

The unique design and exceptional amenities of this extraordinary soundside development are sure to satisfy all of your vacation needs! Amenities include clubhouse, tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness center, boat ramp, children's playground, soundfront picnic area, jogging and bike paths, windsurfing, boating, community water and septic! Oceanside parking is available within one block of the beach access. Pool dates mid-May to mid-October (weather permitting).

Whalehead Beach

Wide beaches run for three miles along Whalehead Beach. This community boasts large lots and lovely, extravagant homes. This is a truly wonderful location to enjoy beach living. All homes are on private wells and septic systems. Plan to buy bottled water for drinking, ice and cooking. You are very close to excellent shopping, dining, fishing, water sports, golf, 4-wheel drive beaches and more.

Crown Pointe

Crown Point features tennis courts, swimming pool with gazebo, beautiful wide beaches and is tucked away between Ocean Sands and Whalehead Beach. A water filtration system serves the community and municipal sewer. Shops, movie theater, supermarket, golf and restaurants are nearby.

Ocean Sands

Ocean Sands, with its wide, soft-sand beaches, contains Sections A-O. All homes in Sections A, B, and C are on private wells. All other sections are on municipal water and sewer. A seven acre fresh water lake is stocked for fishing and a haven for water fowl. Tennis courts can be found in three sections (D, F, and H) on a first come, first served basis. Sections A, B and C do not include tennis privileges. The Pine Island Racquet Club, at an additional fee, is available close by. You are near shopping, restaurants, golf, water sports and nature.

Pine Island

Pine Island is the premier community on the Northern beaches. Luxurious and custom homes provide the perfect place to plan that special family vacation. It is located across from the National Audubon Society Sanctuary. Enjoy tennis, basketball, oceanfront pool, jogging and bike paths and playground. Pine Island is on municipal water and sewer. A private airport is available for pick-up and drop-off only.

Currituck Club

The Currituck Club winds through the beautiful maritime forest and along the shore of the Currituck Sound. This is a private, gated community featuring a world-class, 18-hole Rees Jones signature golf course, employing a PGA instructor, advance tee times and reduced green fees. Enjoy the clubhouse with private lounge, fitness center with ping pong, pool table and exercise equipment; 3 community pools with bathhouses. Ride or jog on the lighted 3.5 mile path. Tennis courts, volleyball court, basketball courts, trolley service to the beach with valet service are just a few more of the available amenities.
