2011 Outer Banks Marathon Events:

The 2011 OBX Marathon Weekend will take place November 12th and 13th on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. Events for this year include the Outer Banks 8k, Outer Banks Half Marathon, Outer Banks Full Marathon and the Kelly Hospitality Fun Run & 5K. Runners can also take part in a Marathon Eve Pasta Party and a Post Race Celebration!

Outer Banks 1 Mile Fun Run & 5K - Saturday, November 12th at 10:30 a.m. This family-friendly event also includes games, music, food and entertainment. Participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal. Learn more about the Outer Banks Fun Run & 5K.

Outer Banks 8K - Saturday, November 12th at 7:30 a.m. This out-and-back course begins at First Flight Middle School and ends at the First Flight High School track. The course is partly on a dirt road and the event is walker-friendly. Learn more about the Outer Banks 8K.

Outer Banks Marathon Pasta Party - Saturday, November 12th from 5 p.m.  to 8 p.m. Every runner will want to stock up on carbohydrates before the Outer Banks Marathon! Come join the fun at the All You Can Eat Pasta Party at the Ramada Inn on the oceanfront. Tickets may be purchased online and at the Race EXPO registration booth. 

Outer Banks Half Marathon - Sunday, November 13th at 7:00 am. This primarily flat, point-to-point course begins in Nags Head and ends in historic Manteo. Enjoy gorgeous views of Jockey's Ridge and the sound along the way. Once you cross the finish line, it's time to head to the After Party! Learn more about the Outer Banks Half Marathon.

Outer Banks Marathon - Sunday, November 13th at 7:20 am. Runners will need to maintain a 17:10 per mile pace in order to "beat the bridge" at Mile 22. Take in some amazing coastal scenery as you run this point-to-point course from Kitty Hawk to Manteo. Cheering crowds, stunning views and bands will keep you pumped along the way!
