Know how to swim before jumping in the ocean. Get your mom or dad to sign you up for swimming lessons from a trained professional. If you aren't a good swimmer, stay in ankle-deep water - you don't need to be in deep water to have fun!
Never go to the beach without an adult - we want you to stay safe! Never ever swim alone.
Swim or play near a lifeguard stand.
Remember that swimming in the ocean is much different than swimming in a pool. Waves, rocks, and rip currents make ocean swimming more tricky.
