Far Far Away WHL-86

We stayed at Far Far away during the week of October 8, 2011 for my Dad's 75th birthday celebration. We ended up booking this house because we were originally booked in Rodanthe but Hurricane Irene forced us to change our plans. Since the road was not open to Rodanthe during the week of our reservation, we rebooked thru Sun Realty at Far Far Away. We were very happy with the house! The pictures do not do it justice. The Tv's in the family room on the main floor and the den on the second floor have been upgraded to large flat screens which was a nice surprise. (The pictures showed the old tv's.) The house was clean, in excellent condition and had everything we needed. The kitchen was full of every utensil, pot, pan, cup, glass, etc, that you would need. There were two coffee pots in the main floor kitchen and refrigerators on two floors. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom had plenty of room. The bathrooms were all nice and the King suite had a whirlpool tub. There was a nice pool and the hot tub was awesome - we used it everyday! There was a nice large size grill for outdoor cooking and also the kitchen had an inside grill. The decks were fabulous and the house was a short walk to the beach. There was also an enclosed porch on the top deck with a nice sized dinner table and chairs - we used it to do puzzles. There are outdoor showers and a 1/2 bath right by the pool. There were A/C thermostats on each floor for individual control and the A/C worked wonderfully. The owner called us on our second day to make sure everything was ok, which was a very nice touch. If you are looking for a reasonably priced home close to the ocean, this home is well worth it and we were very satisfied.

"We visited OBX for the first time last week. I searched for months for a house and when I came across this one, I received great feedback from the realtor about the home owner. The price was OUTSTANDING for the location. Believe me -- I looked at 100's of homes and you will not find a location like this, with all this home has to offer for this price. We had wonderful ocean views and were just steps away from the beach access. The listing was very accurate and photos were identical to what we saw upon arrival. Very clean and well maintained property. We were able to bring our dog and she absolutely loved the beach. Loved Whalehead and the Corolla area. To top it all off -- shortly after we were moved in and were getting acquainted in our home for the week, the owner called to say welcome to his beach house. He wanted to make sure things were okay and wish us a nice visit to his home and OBX. That showed pride in ownership of his home, which was already evident to us. We loved our first visit to OBX and it will not be our last. Already looking ahead to 2011. "

I just stayed here last week - 9/18-25/10 and this house is excellent. The description and pictures are right on. Location is great and the price is excellent for that location. House had everything you could want. Views were great. Thanks SUN for a great rental experience and thanks to the home owner for sharing this lovely home with us for our first trip to OBX. Looking forward to next year already!

I must say I had a completely relaxing time at the house. So much so I forgot several passwords when I returned to work. The pool was great and the hot tub too. The outside of the house could use some pressure washing but the views are very nice. The inside of the house was clean. Next time I would bring some bath mats for the bathrooms. The walk to the beach was great (< 5 min). Thanks again, I would rent the house next year if I were not going to Hawaii. Thanks SUN! Good Job! Regards, Eric
