My family has a great stay at Downden in Dare the last week of July 2008. Frist comment is that house is right on the beach. Secondly, the pots and pans situation has improved from previous post. There are plenty of them and there is no need to lug any from home. My one concern was noise from the Rts 158 and 12. Although the house is fairly close to these roads, the road noise was not an issue. Good location, close to restaurants and stores. Overall, a very nice house at a good price.
