Bare-Foot'n 328-N

WE stayed at this house Thanksgiving week and had a great time. The house was perfect for the 3 families (12 of us) There was plenty of room for everyone. An awesome view right on the ocean! This is a great area as there was plenty to see and do for all ages. The house exceeded our expectations! We cooked our Thanksgiving meal and felt like we were in our own kitchen! We all were very happy with our stay and plan to be back to the Outer Banks area! We did not want to leave the area or Bare-Foot'n!!! Thank you Sun Realty!

"This vacation home is MUCH larger and spacious than it appears in the photos online. The main floor has several large windows that present beautiful views of the ocean, and the passing dolphins that swim by frequently. The home was immaculately clean. The appliances all brand new. There are enough bedrooms for 2, maybe 3, families to vacation comfortably, with PLENTY of bathrooms. The only negative, very small, is that the frying pans were difficult to use because food sticks to them - but that just meant we went out to eat more often! Awful Arthur's - our favorite restaurant - is within walking distance. There is a gigantic TV in the living room which is not shown in the photos as well. We were very happy during our stay at BARE-FOOT'N. I didn't want to leave."

This place is SO NICE!!! (4 and a HALF baths, Not 4).... It is so nicely laid out - the view of the ocean is nothing less than spectacular - and it is so well kept! The eat-in Kitchen area and Great Room are PERFECT for the group to stay together - not missing any conversation OR any views the entire time... YOU GOTTA TRY THIS PLACE!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bare-Foot'n this summer. The house is gorgeous, with most bedrooms facing the ocean. The big screen TV was great, and there was wireless internet installed for us to access, which was really helpful for the workaholics that needed to check in on their laptops. The view from the top deck is amazing, as was the view from the upstairs of the home through all of the big windows! The hot tub was great, and very relaxing. It was also nice to learn that the water is completely drained and refilled after each guest's stay! As much as we liked the home, we did have some concerns. The biggest one was the beds, which were awful. Beds at the beach are never the greatest, and we know that (been going to OBX for 30 years), but these were the worst we had seen. Most of us are still recovering from the aching backs after a week on those beds! Our other concern was the dining area. That home REALLY needs a bigger kitchen/dining table, or a second one (which there is space for). There is seating at the bar, but often times, that is where the food was placed for serving, and half of us had to sit on the couch and hold plates to eat, hoping not to make a mess. Other things that we would love to see would be a second refrigerator for beach drinks, a clothesline, better drainage in the outside showers, better drainage on the lower deck (the standing water on the composite decking caused slippery moss to form), a gas grill, and remotes that work for the TVs in the home (some were missing, and others just weren't the right ones . . . we could never get the TV working properly for the kids to use the Playstation in the bunk bed room). We hope the owner and rental agency look into our suggestions, as it would certainly enhance their guests' stay at Bare-foot'n. The things I listed were all noticed as the things that lacked throughout the week . . . things that we had enjoyed at previous homes at OBX. Overall, we did enjoy the home, and we look forward to next year's stay! :)
