What an incredible place to stay at the beach! This has been our Thanksgiving hangout for a several years and it's a special time with family who join us. The unit is well equiped to cook an entire Thnaksgiving meal for all. From grandkids to grandparents, we all agree that the unit is one of our favorites. Lots of great views, especially at sunset. Close to the beach so the anglers in the crowd can surf fish. Very close and convenient to the Town of Duck. The unit is very clean, comfortably furnished and has a great touch with numerous family pictures and a cozy fireplace. We highly recommend Sound Lodge for any family celebration or vacation.

This house is wonderful!!! I have been coming to Duck for the past 20 years, and this is by far the best house for the money that you can rent. I have stayed here twice and the house is always impeccable. It is obvious that the owners take a great deal of pride in offering their home to renters. The furnishings are bright and comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, and there is a tremendous amount of space - perfect for two families or an extended family gathering. This house is THE ONE!!

Review of Sound Lodge
Wow, This has been our family's best vacation in years. My wife, my extended family, and I were all really impressed with how clean, well decorated and the lay-out of the house. The house is a wonderful walk to Duck and a short walk to the ocean. We used all 5x bedrooms --one for the kids with TV and DVD and bathroom, the master bedroom had a wonderful view and our own bathroom too...the other bedrooms were warm and welcoming and my In-laws enjoyed their own quiet room too. My entire family had a wonderful time in the house, visiting Duck (riding bikes or walking/running), and the right distance to the beach. The hot tub was a lot of fun with a glass of wine and the kids watching their favorite movie. The kitchen, BBQ grill, very relaxing living room, worked great for our family and we will be back often to this home. Thanks for having us.

I highly recommend Sound
I highly recommend Sound Lodge as your "home away from home" when you visit the Outer Banks. The house is spacious, immaculate, and beautifully appointed with the comfort and conveniences of home. There are roomy spaces for socializing as well as quiet spaces to retreat for privacy. The location allows lovely views of the sound with the ocean only a short walk away. I look forward to staying at Sound Lodge for the third time this spring.

I can't say enough good things about this home. My husband and I have stayed in places all over the Outer Banks and were so impressed with how well appointed this home was. Everything from pots and pans to blankets to a child's crib and changing table. It is a beautiful location with views of the sound and a short walk to the ocean. The sunset from the living room finished each day on a perfect note. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants a well-maintained, spacious, pristine, sunlit place to stay in a lovely location.
