Sun Services, the maintenance division for Sun Realty, celebrated 10 years of service on January 30, 2010. Sun Services provides maintenance services to the Outer Banks vacation rental properties managed by Sun Realty. Over the course of 10 years, their highly trained, professional maintenance division has increased its services offered to Sun homeowners to include; an exclusive pool & spa service, in-house linen laundering and rentals, and heating and air conditioning repair and installation.

Sun Realty would like to welcome back and honor Arlene Keys, a Sun Realty homeowner, from her recent return from Haiti. Ms. Keys and a fellow nurse, Cathi Goldfischer, are Emergency Care Center nurses from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. The nurses spent 17 days treating hundreds of wounded Hatians after the massive earthquake.   Arlene and her co-worker were welcomed back with a “welcome home” party recently by fellow nurses and colleagues as well as reporters with questions and good wishes.Ms.

Sun Realty Matching Donations for Red Cross Disaster ReliefWe've all seen the absolutely heartbreaking images coming out of Haiti for the last 6 days. It's difficult to imagine what the people of Haiti are experiencing right now. Relief organizations estimate that over 3 million children and adults are suffering as a result of the magnitude 7.0 earthquake.Today, we're asking Outer Banks locals and vacationers to join with Sun Realty in support of Haitian Disaster Relief. Sun Realty and Paul Breaux, founder and CEO, are donating $2,000 to the American Red Cross for Haiti Earthquake Relief.

Bell-Ringing on the Outer Banks...I just finished my first 2 hour shift of bell-ringing for the Salvation Army. I volunteered in front of the Outer Banks Wal-Mart from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Wow! What a rewarding experience. (Although, yes - it was cold!) Everyone was friendly and most were generous as well. Even those who didn't drop something in the kettle shared a smile and pleasant greeting.

Sun Realty’s monthly property managers meeting on August 25th had some extra excitement involved!  In addition to the normal meeting schedule, Kym Rock paid a visit to the meeting for an informational seminar on self-defense. Kym Rock runs a self-defense program called Fight Like A Girl on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  A former victim of domestic violence, Kym has traveled all over the country using her experience and knowledge to inform and teach people how to protect themselves and avoid harmful situations.
