It’s literally right across the street from the beach and you can smell the sea salt if the wind is coming off the ocean. Ocean Blvd. is also great on weekends.
Bell-Ringing on the Outer Banks...I just finished my first 2 hour shift of bell-ringing for the Salvation Army. I volunteered in front of the Outer Banks Wal-Mart from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Wow! What a rewarding experience. (Although, yes - it was cold!) Everyone was friendly and most were generous as well. Even those who didn't drop something in the kettle shared a smile and pleasant greeting.
