Captain George's Seafood Buffet - Yum!
Posted Wednesday, May 5, 2010 - 5:32pm by Mel_OBX

Let's see who can eat the most crab legs!
Many families have an annual tradition of eating at a seafood buffet during their Outer Banks vacation. You know - the mountains of fried shrimp, the golden-brown hushpuppies, the seemingly endless array of side dishes and tempting desserts... And of course, every family has an uncle or older brother who decides he's not going to eat breakfast or lunch in order to "get his money's worth" at the buffet that evening. ;)
The Outer Banks boasts several well-known seafood buffets. However, you'll notice a new edition to the lineup during your next OBX vacation! Captain George's Seafood Restaurant is located at Mile Post 8.5 on the Bypass in Kill Devil Hills. Basically, there's just no excuse for leaving this place hungry! Captain George's offers over 70 freshly-prepared buffet items; from classic seafood entrees to hot homemade rolls. And let's not forget about the freshly-baked desserts and pastries!
Captain George's dining room is spacious, clean and inviting. Whether you are a party of 2 or a party of 20, you'll be seated comfortably. Plus, this family-friendly Outer Banks restaurant offers options for picky pre-schoolers and non-seafood eaters. For the grown-ups, the bar area offers an upscale atmosphere, attentive service and countless flatscreen TVs.
Tip: Take advantage of the Early Bird Special on Sundays from noon 'til 4:00 pm.
Happy Eating!
